I´m not a big fan of his bringing it up either, especially so soon, but he brought out a startling statistic. Of the 41 black coaches fired by FBS schools, exactly one, Ty Willingham, has gotten another HC job at the same level. They tend to get hired for bad programs and expected to turn them around in an unrealistically short time, and then when they are fired they simply don´t get the second (or more) chances that a lot of white coaches get. I personally don´t ascribe to the concept that numbers never lie, but I do think these numbers reveal an ugly truth.

I lost all respect for this HC using the race card for being fired.
