I wouldn't bet on it. ROLL TIDE!

Actually, I just heard that Notre Dame has forfeited the game because everyone says they don't have a chance against Alabama. Hopefully they will be able to have the #1 scoring defense in the country, beat the PAC12 champions, BigXII champions, as well as 7 other bowl-eligible teams (with no FCS games) on the way to an undefeated season next year so they can prove they belong.
I can't wait until the 2013 season starts!!!

I'm fired up for the Oregon K State match up! I think Bama and ND will have big ratings but a snooze fest comparable to last years title game

A snooze fest compared to last year's title game? I highly doubt that!

i think their offense has gotten better over the last 4 games. however, they lost to pitt twice and got lucky in that game. alabama's offensive line is too good for ND to fight that all night. it took the probable heisman winner to offensively beat alabama. something ND is not going to be able to do. short of alot of mental mistakes, alabama probably wins this by double digits. BUT. notre dame has to keep it close and give themselves a shot.

FSU and NIU will be one of the worst Bowls of the year if not ever. It would have been ugly to begin with, but now the Huskies will be playing without their head coach. At least last year it promised to be good and the blow out was entertaining. But this? Orange Bowl officials can't be happy

Not as big a loss IMO.
And they might be without their D-Line coach too who will likely be going with Stoops to Kentucky from everything I have been reading.

Malzahn was the offensive mind at the helm for the national championship team in 2010...will see how he does as the head man

SCAM Newton was that good. Horrible hire by Auburn

I think Malzahn is legit and was the right choice. He has had similar results every place he has coached.

I lean towards Malzahn being a bad choice. I think Kirby Smart would have been, well, the Smart choice. Glad he's not leaving BAMA (yet). Roll Tide.

Outside of dickens' seeming bitterness over the Newton situation, Malzahn is a good coach and a solid hire. He has a prior relationship with a lot of the upperclassmen on the roster so that should help as well.

He was a 'Guru' in coaching circles when he was in HA. He has risen far and fast in such a short time. If it is on merit not duplicity he should be fine.
