The University thinks that our website name coupled with the use of the official logo could lead to people confusing us for being an official University website. They have the right to do that. We have asked for permission to use the logo in certain situations. We are still waiting on a response, it's been about 2-3 weeks.

Anyways, when I was working on this particular post, I started adding the other teams' logos then got to Liberty, and thought crap I can't use our logo. Instead of leaving white space I just put that logo up and turned it into a joke.

We currently provide more coverage than any other outlet by far. We get what I anticipate would be a very high amount of traffic for a site of our kind.

I'm sure what the school means by this sort of stuff is "thank you for covering our teams".

Good luck getting a quick response from David Corry. You might suggest just a simple disclaimer added to the logo if and when you use it. e.g. *This site is not an official LU sponsored website. Maybe they will be more amenable.

I say send another email saying 'since we haven't heard back we will assume it is now ok to use the LU logo and appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Go Flames!" That should get you a response!
