yep..i knew i was right about the quality inn purchase.

looks awesome! how about hd cameras finally coming....for basketball

http://www.libertychampion.com/2012/10/ ... ast-truck/
With use of the truck, students will be able to produce content for events like club sports, concerts and NCAA basketball away games, according to truck manager Wes Albers. He is responsible for overseeing the proper use of all equipment while maintaining a smooth production environment.
Additionally, a high-definition conversion of the Vines Center control room video systems is currently in the planning stage, according to Braun.

“The new high-definition remote truck provides opportunities for communications students to produce events anywhere on and off campus in (High Definition) that may be aired live on our Liberty TV Channel,” Braun said.
Too bad nobody can get the Liberty Channel 5 miles outside of Candler's Mountain. HD is no good if nobody can get it.

p.s my internet isn't fast enough for that so don't say it :D

I live in a special little spot 40 miles away that actually picked up the signal years ago. It's gone now, and I haven't seen it since June.

I think it has to be a full power station for FCC must carry rules to apply. Right now it's still a Class A digital, which means DirecTV will not carry it.

This is a big reason why TBN is dumping their local translators and buying full power stations, so cable systems will be mandated to carry it.

I saw them sectioning off the floors there last week when I was headed to the Vines Center. They are making very good progress. I think the chances are good itll be open end of next year (yeah a Liberty project opening on time...what a concept)

Front-page headline in the local paper:
Liberty University readies for construction of student center, music and science buildings
Posted on December 6, 2012
by Amy Trent
Liberty University is readying for construction on three sprawling Jeffersonian buildings in the heart of campus, including a 40,000-square-foot student center.

LU already has submitted and received comment on the preliminary site plans, which include demolishing several old buildings attached to DeMoss Hall, building a 100,000-square- foot science building and a 100,000-square-foot School of Music.

There are plans being drawn up no doubt, but there is a lot still ahead of them right now so itll probably be some years before you see ground being broken (probably the Communication and business schools first, with engineering coming after one of the other two is finished...just my speculation)

holy crap...so will this eliminate north campus or is this much additional space really needed. I much prefer the centralized main campus rather than having classes at north.

North Campus has been mostly eliminated already. Most classes are already now all in Demoss again. North Campus or Green Hall is now all Online and student activities.

Just a few renderings from the N&A. :D
The people in the rendering are semi-transparent. Is this supposed to be mid-rapture?
No they are now classifying students by the level of tuition they are actual paying and those students are only paying half. They are only worth half a student...
