Good point. Hadn't thought of that. I had a few democrat friends tell me they voted for McCrory. So Romney, at least in part, rode his coattails?

1. Democrat Governor who came in 2008 was awful and was so bad, she didn't even consider running a second term. We picked a good one in NC to replace her. (R) I voted Republican for governor.

NC was looking for Romney to bring back some blue collar work. That's not really true. Asheville, Charlotte, the entirety of the Triangle area (which is a lot more than just Raleigh) and even Wilmington are all doing just fine.

I don't really agree with this author's conclusions as they're based off of very liberal stereotypes of Republicans. But knowing that "Asian" doesn't just mean Chinese, but is probably mostly Indian and Middle Eastern immigrants, I think it has most to do with the perception of the Republican foreign policy.

Satan—the god of this world—has tempted mankind to follow his pride. Satan sets the agenda, the unbelieving world follows, and mankind continues to be deceived.
Here's a neat website, I enjoy popping questions to it. http://www.gotquestions.org/Satan-god-world.html

El Scorcho wrote:Right, but that doesn't mean it's nothing but hard times outside of Raleigh. The unemployment rate is up, but there are plenty of areas in the state that are doing well. That was my point.NC has been losing blue collar industries for several years, textile, tobacco, furniture to name a few. And banking took a hit in Charlotte recently. They have been unable to replace them ... so far.
Sure, you could go to Yadkin county and find any number of plants that have been shut down in the last two years, but you said "outside of Raleigh", which isn't correct.

Anybody see a pattern here? If you've ever lived in Roanoke City, you'll recognize these areas. So, how exactly can the Republican Party fight against racism?
