i know the left always threatens us with losing our tax exempt status... but i feel like if we do stuff like that we are asking for it. things like this repeatedly embarrass this school. this is unacceptable.

Don't worry, regardless of what actually went down it will be "Deny, deny, deny."

ballah09 wrote::vomit at Liberty posting an opinion piece on FB and deleting pro obama comments or people questioning them posting it. I have to say they really stepped up their partisan politics this year. pathetic (I'm not a Obama supporter btw)
I've gotten more email from Liberty in the last 2 weeks about the election than I've gotten on all other topics in the last 2 months. They don't even pretend that the school is about anything other than trying to gain political influence these days.

They can do what they want, even though I think we all agree its not necessary.

As for tax exempt don't get me started on that. The state should not have a right to muzzle anyone's opinions.

I guess if you like Romney you don't mind. But if you don't, people are going to be upset. I guess. I'm not a huge Romney fan I'm just more concerned about the Federal government actually saying that any tax exempt corporation is not free to have any liberty of conscience.

Good vid!!! I think it's great when Christians are engaged in their country's future though!!! How do you feel about many black churches using the Sunday before Election Day for early voting and after the "sermon", transporting their entire congregations to the polls to vote. I don't have a problem with it? I think it's great, do you?

Exactly. Yet so many majority or disperately white churches are so scared to mention anything about politics.

Yepper .... and actually there should be no black churches and white churches. Followers of Jesus Christ should be worshiping together.

Virginia is seen as a very important swing state, with particularly our youth vote being a critical part of that. The youth vote here is seen as liberal, and if turnout is high, that spells doom for Romney. I think the powers that be see LU as a small counterbalance to that, and I think they've made that very clear to LU's leadership. Sure, most of us don't like it, but they're thinking more big picture right now, worry about hurt feelings later. Just my take on it.

Has anyone seen the Gary Johnson vote swap website? If you're a Johnson voter and live in an important swing state, you sign up and pledge to vote for Romney, and someone in an already-decided state will pledge to use their vote for Johnson. This way, you don't hurt the country by helping Obama and at the same time Johnson still gets a vote so your "conscience" is not violated.

I uploaded it to a image host and then used the "Img" button at the top of the reply box to post the link to the image. That should look like this when you post:
Code: Select all

Any host that allows you to specify https at the beginning is preferred around here.

My Prediction:

Scorch - I don't think Romney takes NV. If the Republicans couldn't overcome the union vote out there in 2010 when they tried to unseat Reid, then I don't see it happening this time around. I think Romney comes up just short of PA and WI.

One small note about Minnesota....gay marriage is up for the vote. That always tends to bring all those crazy Christians out, seeing as how much they hate freedom and want to deny others of their rights.

I watch MSNBC a lot for some reason, and they keep talking about how polls don't interview spanish speaking housholds because they don't want to deal with the language barriers and that's why Reid won in 2010 when the polls showed he was in trouble. Interesting thought.

Since 1980, every time U2 releases an album in a US election year, the Republican candidate has won. No U2 album this year, so....

U2 released albums in ’80 (Reagan), ’84 (Reagan), ’88 (Bush), ’00 (Bush) and ’04 (Bush).

No U2 album in ’92 (but Achtung Baby was 1991), ’96 (Pop was 1997) or ’08 (No Line On The Horizon was 2009).
