Bump:
Update on Masha-
Stephon currently sits at #2 in Cobb county in passing and #10 overall in rushing.
As of this week he's rushed 91 times for 535 yards and 10 TD's and is 94-174 for 1353 yards and 5 throwing TD's against some of Georgia's toughest competition. oh and he's outplayed qb's committed LSU, UCLA, and a few others. Kid is a steal for us.

Will be great when we get the signed LOI. I am convinced that in order to be successful at our current FCS level, we need this type of QB. Not knocking any current players at all, I like the guy that is playing now, but believe a dual threat QB opens up so many other possibilities.

I wouldn't get to excited about this guy just yet. His region isn't the strongest region in metro Atlanta. Its usually dominated by Hillgrove or McEachern. To his credit, he did have a pretty good game against McEachern. Hillgrove is this weekend. He appears to be a running back that can also pass. He has 6 TDs and 3 INTs passing but has 11 TD's running. He's passed for 1600 yds and rushed for 600 yds. I'd bet he's a good athlete with a lousy coach and an undisciplined team. Very interesting recruit. Time will tell.

Have you watched him play? not the strongest region in metro atl? I'll give you that however it is the second strongest in the largest classification in Georgia. Not coached well? obviously not. they are sitting at 6-2. As for the low passing TD count. He passes middle of the field but generally doesn't need to anywhere near the redzone. uses his legs and gets the TD 11 times this year. Going to watch him tomorrow. don't be fooled by the obscure stats. kid is a player. top 4 QB in the best county of football in GA.

I have not seen him play but I have seen Hillgrove and Lassiter. My sons team got beat by both a few years ago and I don't think much has changed. I think after last night south Cobb is 5th in their region meaning no playoffs for them. I'm sure he's a good athlete but I would just be cautious. I still think he'll end up at another position before its all done.

This kid is going to be something serious in the years to come. Especially with the move to fbs we needa true duel threat Qb that can make plays on his own. would be surprised if i don't see him start a couple of games this year.

The only way Josh doesn't start the next three years is due to injury.

I highly doubt he sees the field this year unless he really shows himself in fall camp. TDD is right, Josh is our guy for the next three years unless he gets hurt. he would have to beat out at least Shashaty for the backup spot but I think he will be redshirted and get his chance in 2014.
