Dear Short Stuff,

They probably want to sell Liberty stuff. However, they have to get the rights from the school to sell copyrighted material. If they're not selling LU stuff, it's because they couldn't get the rights to the logos. They sell HPU stuff in the HPU store so they wouldn't mind selling our things if they could.

It's the same reason stores in Myrtle Beach don't have Coastal gear. The stores can't get rights to the logo.

someone email HMO and get him on this project.

I'm sure he could have it fixed within the week.

And get me one of those "official" blue Liberty Flames hats that I wanted but was told aren't available, yet LIBERTINE, SMOOTHIE, HBURG and GMTM all seemed able to get.

I went by there today. It proved again why it's the greatest store in the world (2 t-shirts, long sleeve shirt, and hoodie for $34). However, they had JMU t-shirts, Washington & Lee t-shirts, and Longwood t-shirts but no LU t-shirts.

I understand there may be some type of contract with the book store or Universal Tee's or something but when it runs out we need to get in this store as soon as possible. Students can afford shirts for $7.98 and hoodies for $14.98. It's hard paying $50 for a hoodie at the bookstore.

By the way, they had no UNC stuff yet which made me angry. They're still working on getting their stock up though. It's still a great store.

Its the bookstore...apparently no one within a mile of LU can sell merchandise...but I'm sure if Steve and Barry's started, they wouldn't raise too much fuss since B&N just avoided getting the boot from LU.

Universal Tee's sells merchandise in Williams and The Vines and that's less than a mile.

I was dissapointed in the Lynchburg Steve & Barry's. Not only were there no Liberty stuff (which we've established why in theory), but there is hardly any college stuff at all! That's why I go there, to get college stuff I normally wouldn't see anywhere. I've only been to two Steve & Barry's... one in Greenville NC that sells a ton of ECU stuff and the at Potomac Mills, which has much gear from the colleges in and around DC such as Georgetown, American, GW, Howard and others. Lynchburg has a a few scattered here and there... mostly Texas stuff. The local stuff is Longwood, JMU and Washington Lee. Most of the shirts are stuff like "I see dumb people" and "Smart A** University"... those shirts like that. I don't wear those shirts, but I can get those at Wal-Mart, I don't want to go to a fine establishment such as Steve & Barry's to get that stuff. The shirts I have from there currenty are a long sleeve Yale shirt and a short sleeve Columbia University shirt. This one.... dissapoints me

There was stuff for Florida, Texas, Dook, Michigan, Ohio State, West Virginia, and a few others. I do know that they haven't received all of their stuff yet. Once they get everything it should be better. I was also disappointed by some of it.

My wife and I went to check out the store and I can say that it is very impressive. The prices are low, the assortment is, well, assorted, and you can tell by the displays that there is more to come (UMBC hats--you must be kidding me). We gave it two thumbs up.

I guess they're in the same position as Hat World at the mall. LU refuses to allow them to sell merchandise. I know that Hat World could sell a good amount of LU hats if they had the rights to it. I would imagine LU would still get a cut anyway. Somebody find out how we can get the merchandise into other stores besides LU or Universal. This is ridiculous for a school the size that LU is now.

Was it funny because of how unbelievably wrong it was or the way it was written?

Until I hear Steve & Barry's get more stuff besides those one-liner shirts, I probably won't go back. Maybe I've been spoiled by better Steve & Barry's.

I bought a few of the one-liner shirts. Not the cheesy "FBI - Female Body Inspector" ones but some of the double meaning ones.

I always wanted to see a zhats version of LU hat merchandise, especially an x-line interpretation of the flames. LU needs to get with the program...they always talk a big game and then don't take the actions necessary to accomplish it...they always try to keep things "in-house" or seek out their own alternative measures instead of going with the proven methods.

IMO, the zephyr hats are some of the better designs:
