Ive got Sports Management class with this guy, and he's been showing up with a little thin knee brace on.

But character wise this guys seems like a hoot. He's constantly cracking jokes, and is being buddy buddy with everyone in the class. From what I cant tell he has a pretty good attitude. Unlike the many football players in my other classes.

We already came to that conclusion.

He immediately would get a full ride to LU Law and giant kudos from Staver.

Does he have a twin? Those seem to be better cover stories

Well you must be in my Sport Management class. But Stephen is definitely upset about this injury, but I think he could be able to bounce back. 2 years out of competitive basketball will probably be a slight burden to start off, but I expect him to do big things for the team. He just need to continue to put in hard work. But I can tell you that Stephen wants to be on the court right now

Since we have the weekend off I thought I would look ahead toward next year for a moment. Any news on how SB's rehab is coming? Attitude? I am really pulling for him to make a full recovery, come in ready to go and prove a few of us wrong.

My understanding is that he had pretty much already proven the naysayers wrong over the summer and in preseason workouts. He would very likely have started for us, and certainly would have played major minutes. I read the crap from guys like Sir Realist about us being "lucky" and only beating WU, Presby, G-W and UNCA because of their injuries, but I have to believe we would have been even better with Steven in our rotation.

Even if he makes a full recovery I don't think we should be relying on him to come in and play major minutes next season. He's been away from competitive bball for 2 years. That's alot to overcome. I'm hoping he will be able to, but I think it will take him at least a year back playing to get all the kinks and rust out.

I agree that chances are good next year he may have a harder time getting minutes than he would have this year. I think it will have less to do with the layoff and more to do with everyone returning with a year of extra experience and the addition of a player (Andrew Smith) with a somewhat similar skill set and perhaps even more talent. Then, with JB and Minaya graduating, the door will be open for him to make a major impact as a R-Soph in 12-13.

He's been done for four months. He did an exit interview with the media relation folks back in May.

I swore I put it in a blog post somewhere, but then again, he was a minor, minor player and this happened in the middle of baseball, so it could have slipped my mind.

For the record, he didn't choose to take his senior year off and homeschool until after he had verballed to us. And I am not sure how you can state that anything other than injuries killed his LU career. I don't see how an extra year of pounding on his knees in HS would have prevented his rash of torn muscle tissue.

I used it because your comment was pretty snippy BYD and I was wondering why you were mad at what Sly said (which at its face value didnt really sound like he was copping a 'tude like you seem to be).
