They abandoned that pretty early and went with the primary QB. Ultimately that primary QB killed their chances by a botched handoff that allowed Baylor to ice it. I have to admit that ULM has looked legit.

By the way, the perennial FBS bottomfeeder capitalized on the Arkansas & Auburn games to turn out 31k for their home opener against the Bears. This run may actually have saved their program and possibly even their school. There is seriously talk of consolidating ULM with La Tech.

This is looking like the 2nd time, in 3 head coaching jobs, that Todd Berry has turned a team around in year 3. He's a little older than the typical hot commodity coach but if ULM puts together a good season this year and next, it seems like he could be a guy that a low to mid tier BCS program might take a look at.

He is as good as gone after this season. The Army experience apparently just the world that he isn't able to recruit to an academy. Because he has been lights out otherwise. I'd expect to see him in a bottomfeeder BCS gig by the end of the calendar year.

Interesting. I would think it might take one more year, just to show this isn't some sort of fluke, but I think Berry could do what someone like Paul Rhodes has done with a team like Iowa State. If it were to be after this season, Kentucky sure is looking like a possibility.
