He doesn't have a problem with athletics or a ton of money going to athletics. He's placing the blame of our poor performance (in sports that matter) on the athletic director. It's a legitimate conversation that is being muddled by the fact that it's being brought up in light of a coach's 3rd game.

TorC, you say you want what is best for LU...but when LU plays well at Wake Forest, you make no comment after the game. Then when LU has a rough loss, you comment that the AD has an agenda in a thread about the Montana game. It seems like every comment goes back to something about the AD, regardless of the thread topic. That is the agenda that you have...it's not that you want what is best for LU, it's that you want to bash the AD at every oppertunity, whether it is approriate or not. If you truely wanted what is best for LU, you'd be excited about the good things that were happening and sad about the bad...but with you it's just a one-way street - something bad happens - you make posts blaming the AD. I don't see how it can be made any clearer. Here's a test for you: if you don't have an agenda about the AD...then prove it...try and make posts for the rest of the season without mentioning the AD. You can do it! :)

Im on the same boat as Sly, Im a little optimistic about our chances the rest of the season. It seems the reason we lost in Montana were fixable mistakes. Our defense played well, and our offense moved the ball. We shot ourselves in the foot. Montana Didnt shoot us in the foot that bad. Some things in sports are more correctable than others. I havent given up hope on our first playoff birth.

LU needs help in the running game. I only saw the first half while waiting for my flight at Wild Wings. Need bigger stronger RBs. Better depth everywhere. Montana is a very good program.

Hey guys. My time in Montana was greeat. What an area, with great friendly people and fans. I want to go back sometime when I can have more time to look around.

I do agree that this is definately a team that is right on the edge of being very good. What we saw at Wake was real. Saturday the Offense was very very good. the run game does need some work, yes, but I believe if you will count the run plays it was not a priority in this game. The defense is still very good and aggressive. When Bah is back it will be unreal. Special teams coverage needs some time, but it will get there. Montana did a great job of limiting Kevin Fogg, but he will not be contained for long. He did have one long return that came back on a penalty. It all comes down to mistakes (penalties) and turnovers. If we control the ball better and even have only 1 turnover that was a totally different game.

Only 14 because of the turnovers. We moved the ball well especially in second half. Turnovers killed it. Couldn't catch a break.

And the Yankees should be happy beating Toronto with your logic. Jerry jr $$$ has put athletics in position and JB leadership/decision holds athletics back. And yes I want what is best for LU. Obama has had a chance to lead and fail. JB has not advance the major programs they have all regressed. Why did Rocco leave? Why is accountability so hard to swallow?

Flame fans logic:

NY Yankees manager, "Mr. Steinbrenner can't you just be satisfied with high quality PR spins...I know we have the largest salaries in baseball, but Tampa Bay and Texas are good. Yes I know we have a band new stadium please drop the standard because it is difficult to live up to my own expectations."

six years of unlimited budgets no NCAA in Baseball, MBB or FB. Dallas Baptist, Oral Roberts and Stony Brook have figured it out. Decisions determine destiny.

Call us trolls...but we live in reality not your fantasy athletics of "only if".

If memory serves JB did not hire Rocco. So any judgement of his record in hiring football staff's should probably be given more then 3 games

1. Highest overall athletic budget in the Big South - yes
2. Best overall athletic department in the Big South - yes
3. Return on investment? What are we missing here? We have overall the best athletic department in the Big South and also spend the most.

Nothing to see here, move on.

Folks I've got a son on the team. I love the school spirit, sea of red, fill the Bill, Flames Club, FSN #Beat (opponents' name here)etc. I also share the 'Building Champions for Christ' vision. But, if we are going to play the game, then we need to win. We've got an inexperienced QB. We've got a tough schedule out of the box. We've got a new coach and staff. We've got to win. The sooner the better.

Go Flames!!!

Wow, TorC. You can't even make it a day. Let's see, this is the Montana Postmortem thread. Now you're talking about the AD and the Yankees and why Rocco left...again, your agenda...take ever thread and make it about the AD. Over 250 posts and still bitter. You are so over the top!

Don't you understand? Even if you are right, it hurts your argument when you try to spin every thread against the AD. Next you'll be blaming JB for global warming (I mean he must use a lot of hairspray - I wonder if it's aresol, haha). This just makes people tune you out. But you have every right to post, and every right to your opinions...I just think you're hurting your own case by only posting for the losses and always blaming the AD.
