One of my favorite Christian bands further seems forever has rejoined with Chris Carrabba and are coming out with a new album this fall. Chris is the lead singer of dashboard confessional.

while i was originally fairly dissappointed by him leaving, the band stuck it out and had a "guest" singer on each of their following albums and each one of them are fantastic.

RIP cornerstone.
A moment of silence........
It says something, and not positive IMO, about CCM when an event with the history of Cornerstone goes away

Powell there was 'The Real' Cornerstone. Then the one on 'TheFarm'. Then the touring one. It's ashame. You would think with all of the older non CCM bands touring you could wrestle up a few CCM artists to tour I know, I'm dreaming

I am excited about this as well. Chris is a great entertainer.

I went to a Dashboard Confessional show not long after his first EP came out. It was at a small venue, was general admission at the door and far too many people showed up. He came out and asked everyone who couldn't get in to stick around, then went inside and played the show. After the show he went out on the sidewalk and played for about another hour or so for the people who couldn't get in.

He made me a much bigger fan that night.

Heard about this a while back from an LU alum. I once got to see FSF at some place in Forest back in high school when they still had Carrabba on the mic. Winter Solstice and Beloved were at that show too I believe.

I actually like their other lead singers better. Although he's pretty good too. I can't understand why they don't stay together.

Same here, I liked the music better on the first album, although How to Set a Fire is a very close second.

I'd heard their name before but I'd never listened to them. Thanks for pointing them out RM. BTW I don't know if you knew this, but I found them on Spotify and they have a single release for 2012 called 'So Cold'. I'm assuming this is off of their new album you said was coming out this Fall. I could be wrong as I don't know them well. But it sounds like Chris's voice.

Me too. I pulled out The Running a few weeks ago on a road trip. I forgot just how good they were.

Man I made a lot of money off of that show. Good times.

Oh and that wasn't Chris. That was Jason. He had just joined the band.
Close enough! haha

And that show was awesome, good work getting that one put on. It was my first exposure to Beloved and Winter Solstice. I actually hadn't really been exposed to the hardcore stuff yet, now I have a ton of it.

Easily the best show in Lynchburg I've been too. Obviously that's not saying much since it's Lynchburg though, but there were other really good ones too, like when Mewithotyou came to the that lodge across from Funquest and Norma Jean came to CVCC. At least I think NJ came here, it's hard to remember that far back. I'm sure the Underoath show would have topped them all since their first three albums are three of the best I have. I am still ticked to this day that I couldn't make it to that one. I'll go to the grave being ticked over that.
