This is the most amazing thing I think I've ever seen.
Utah, at home, is up 24-21 with :07 left. BYU throws an incomplete pass that hits the ground with :01 but the clock operator lets it run to :00 and the fans rush the field. The refs put :01 on the clock, make the fans clear the field, and give BYU a chance at a 51 yard FG. The attempt is blocked and a BYU player picks it up and tries to advance the ball with no time left, but he's tackled. The problem is that the Utah fans rushed the field while the play was still going on. The refs convene again, throw the flag, and penalize Utah 15 yards for fans on the field which gives BYU 1 un-timed down to try a 36 yard FG to tie the game. The BYU kicker has plenty of leg on it, kicking from the right hash, but hooks the ball badly and it clanks off the left upright to finally give Utah the win and the fans storm the field for a 3rd time.
You've got to love rivalry games.
