Oh, I see. So everything behind the Chickfila drivethru will be vacant.
What about the Holiday Inn?
Not going anywhere, and the old Hampton might just get re-badged.

looking on the webcams and watching progress on Falwell Library.

WOW that thing is gonna be huge. If it wasnt right next to DeMoss it would look massive.

wonder what the square footage is? Counting the basement/walkout level it looks to be 5 stories.

very nice, love the look all the new buildings have on campus!

Maybe a dumb question, I haven't heard anything if its out there, is there a plan for LU to open a university hospital or partner with Lynchburg General?

Oh ok, so it's going to be a legit DD...I figured it as a DD express or something similar to all the gas stations in the area.

Will this have a drivethru? I sure hope so, that would be my every day stop!

I'm a Dunkin Donuts fan, but c'mon. We live in the SOUTH shouldn't we have gone after a Krispy Kreme? Sure one already failed here and in C'ville, but just like Communism, we should give it one more try!

Good, I asked about this on Twitter, but got no response. So real donuts being served and not just coffee, finally! That will actually open up distribution to Lynchburg, so hopefully a second DD will come to town.

New School of Music announced with a stand alone building in the new academic hub -

Now if only we could build a stand alone business school down there. With as much as we celebrate our financial strength around here, one would think a stand alone, ultra high-tech, high priced business school with a lot of bells and whistles to attract the best business students possible would be high on our list. If you look at the largest university endowments, they also happen to have world class business schools. I would think there is a high correlation.

I briefly went through the business school business plan one time a few years ago. Something I've never thought about before but there was a plan for a stock trading room where students are a lotted X amount of dollars to trade. It was a pretty cool concept with a ticker going around the top of the room and some other cool things.

No idea, if I had to place money (pun?) on it I would say its pretty high on the totem poll. Take care of the seminary, med, engineering and I would think business would be soon to follow.

All of this after an amazing free standing alumni center of course :D

And a free-standing Honors College for our 637 gifted LU students and National Merit Finalists (and future rich alumni) and that can also house all of our Quiz Bowl trophies.
