Montana is really good, but have a hunch this will be a better game than perhaps expected.
Griz 35-24.
190 rushing yards, which would be a good day against this bunch.

I haven't said it this week because Flamefans overreacting is par for the course, but yes many are overreacting.

We are 2 plays away from being 2-0 on the season. I think we can beat Montana. but if are gonna have to play 4 quarters of football, not 2. also we need to pass the ball down the field a little more than we did saturday. with no special teams boo boos, I say we pull the upset.

Ok, I can see 6 losses. I don't think it will happen though. That means we lose EVERY toss-up game. I have to think we will win 1 of 6 though, if not more.

G-W - win
Concord - win
VMI - win
CSU - win

I could be the coach and we could win those 4 games.

While I don't think we'll blow Liberty out, we've only lost 3 home games in the last 7 years by a total of 9 points, and all three of those opponents made it to at least the 2nd round of the playoffs. If we lose by 10 there will be anarchy :D

I can see us losing this game but I really believe we will beat Lehigh, win all the way through the Big South until we get to Stony Brook. I think if this team can really learn from these losses and rebound. We very well could be sitting at 8-3 (SB Win) or 7-4 (SB Loss) and in the playoffs.

Most Griz fans thought that this may be an off year (7-4 type season and potentially miss the playoffs) with all the off-field crap and loss of our star QB. Contrary to what most were expecting, however, we have started the season playing at a level we don't usually reach until mid-season, and the QB play is much, much better than expected. Additionally, this years team has an us against the world mentality after that tumultuous off-season. They were attacked by a media frenzy, which basically labeled them all trouble-makers and rapists  , and it has them playing with a big-time chip on their shoulder. The Griz have not lost two in a row in a long, long time, and will be fighting like a wounded animal after that tough loss at App. Similar to your team, we lost to App in a very dissappointing manner, and had every opportunity to win that game. We had 4 turnovers  and they took care of the football, nuff said. I expect a great effort from your guys, but your injury bug combined with our immeasurable homefield advantage are just too tall a mountain to climb.

Griz - 35
LU - 14

If you had your starters.......

Griz - 35
LU - 24

based on what evidence?
On the fact that we hung close to 2 really good teams till the end. I believe we put it all together and finish both. This team is just to talented and angry not to come out on the big stage on fire.

I am some bit amused by this thread. Before the first snap, some of you said we were going to beat everyone out there. We played to a very respectable 3 point loss at Wake. And lost a close one at home to Norfolk State by a TD. And now I read things like "we suck", and see score predictions of a major blow out to Montana. Wow!

We were in BOTH ballgames and could have won them both. I'll never understand the "glass is half empty" mentality that some folks always seem to have. I remain proud of this teams efforts and still believe this will be a succesful season.

The last few years we have not blown people out, not like we used to. However, no quit in the griz and no let down. Look at our last two losses, SHSU and ASU, got down big and continued to grind back. I would be suprised if we don't grind it out on saturday. Still early in the season with a young team. I expect mistakes but think the Griz will come straight at you guys and try to wear out the D. Should be fun as fans. Hopefully I can catch a bit of it if I am not casing Elk

Sorry guys, they are just the best team on our schedule. Unless they have a let down game after getting up for the App State game I don't see us keeping it close.
