Yep, maybe we will do that. We have at least 3 more games and a bye to work the kinks out - Montana, Lehigh, and G-W. Then a test @ Presby. Then a breather against Concord before the 2 big tests in CCU and SBU.

Stony Brook had a similar start and look where they ended up.

I can not wait for this game. We will not start 0-4 IMHO. We can take 1 or both of these games. See my comments in the postmortem. We overreacted after Wake and we are overreacting again. Move on. Can not wait to go.

I think we have a great shot at either of the next 2. NSU was a trap game for sure. We were up for WF and anticipating MT but forgot about NSU a bit. Of course the off field stuff didn't help and was tragic and unavoidable. Remember the coaching staff has to figure out how to work together too. That's why I like our chances in either of these. Plus, MT has their own issues.

As I said at the beginning of the season...these first 4 games could go either way. We could just as easily finish this stretch at 2-2 as we do finishing it 0-4...It will be tough, but it isn't unreachable.

In my opinion if we somehow pull this one out it would be bigger than beating Ball State a couple years ago...the majority of the top 25 of FCS could've beat Ball State that year

And you talk about me being a lost cause. How can you not think we would beat a horrible WF team, an over rated NSU team, a MT team in turmoil and a team with the ugliest colors EVER. It's fans like you that keep us from being successful at the BCS level. Take your money and your support and stay at home. Real fans don't want your type of pessimism keeping us down! :D

A win this week and most of the Norfolk State stuff is forgotten. A loss this week and those play calls and mistakes are magnified a little and tagged as potential season long problems.

I'm very confident in my Griz thus far and extremely confident at home. Here's why...

-The Griz have had 1 home loss in the last 4 years (30-1) or (.970) and that includes 8 home playoff games which we are 8-0 (.100) in.

-Montana is 72-6 (.930) at home out of last 78 games (3 of the 6 losses were playoffs)

-We have a 53-2 (.970) regular season home record in the last 9 seasons.

-The Griz have won 97% of their regular season home games since 2002.

It's worth noting that App. State has a home winning pct. second to Montana and Liberty has a win in Boone.

-Liberty really has stepped their program up in the last 5 years. Lots of W's

-The Griz are on this year but Liberty is no slouch.

-We better be prepared for a battle.

(You will curse the name Dan Moore after Saturday.)

Attended the game. Absolutely incredible stadium experience. I don't know much about the stadium situation at App St. or some of the other traditional FCS powers, but they do it right in Missoula. Knocked the Fargo Dome into a distant second. And the people were incredible.

As for the game: bigger, faster, stronger. They were able to protect an inexperienced qb because we couldn't stop the run. Their one running back was a bowling ball who ran with a mean streak. Talented player. They killed us, it seemed, four to six yards a crack. Hence the record number of first downs.

We'll get better. We have to. Most hostile environment we'll see this year, which is tough for a young offensive line.

Now that I know the end result, my favorite part of watching the replay today was the Griz running back Moore. Good lord... Only comparable player I've seen like him was Jerome Felton from Furman. Moore is way more agile though

I'll take a rematch in Texas, maybe by then we can learn how to tackle their manster rb Moore. We did't stop him too many times. ....I think they just converted another 3rd down?

Moore was a beast. If we play them again we'll need to bring the whole team to tackle his @$$ I've never heard a guy run the way he does.

If I could pick just one player off your team and put him on the Bison squad it would be hands down Dan Moore! Ever since I saw him in that UNI playoff game last year, I have been impressed with him. He runs ANGRY and he would look good in the green and gold!!! Good Luck the rest of the way.....maybe we'll see ya some time this year......hopefully in the Fargo Dome.

Several decades ago we had a Governor here in NC named Dan Moore. After seeing Dan Moore of Montana run tonight, I'm writing Dan Moore of Montana in on my ballot for Governor of NC on November 6th!! It's too bad there had to be a loser in a game like that. I hope we see the Griz again in the playoffs, but dread it in a way because it's so tough to beat a great team twice in the same season. Good luck with the rest of your season, from an old App in Marion, NC!

Dan Moore is a beast.

I would be surprised if 5 of the top 10 RBs in the BSC were not in Montana.

Moore is a treat to watch. He plays the game for real. Hard-nosed and deceptively athletic. The freshman QB is pretty nifty, too. Very elusive and nice arm. The linebacker (No. 52) is quite a player. It would be a great win and take a great effort to pull it off up there, but this team is due a great win.

So you're saying that they should be in the SEC since they are FBS powers?

Montana didn’t take too much of a drop in The Sports Network’s FCS football poll after the Grizzlies’ loss at Appalachian State on Saturday.

The Griz dropped two slots to No. 14 after the 35-27 loss at Boone, N.C. Meanwhile, Appalachian State stepped up three places to No. 8 in the poll released Monday afternoon.

It will be a great game this weekend, love to see new teams come to WaGriz. You guys have been on a steady rise over the last few years and will be fun to watch. Don't look for the Griz to have a let down after the loss to AppSt. Welcome!

Boy I'd hate to be Nicks folks (and any of the rest) who have tix to MT and don't know if Nick will travel/play. Hope he heals up and can go / play. We need him.
