But Liberty doesn't, so any point on he basis of "actual attendance" is moot.

There's nothing logical about making predictions concerning the outcome of athletic events, so let's just squash that up front.

When you say the "the same defense if not better", there's no way to know that until they're on the field. New scheme. New coaches. No games played. West Virginia was a long time ago. I'm not basing the outcome of a game this season on that game. Way too many differences.

However, for the record, It wasn't a lack of confidence in our defensive abilities that caused me to predict a goose egg. It was a lack of confidence in our offense. I didn't think they'd stay on the field long enough to give the defense a rest, which I thought would ultimately result in things running away a bit toward the end.

I was wrong, and I've already admitted that. It wasn't like I was coming completely out of left field, though.
logic wrote:But did you take into consideration our recent history against FBS opponents and the fact that we were playing Wake Forest?
I did. I also recalled when Stony Brook hung 41 on us during the last game of the season last year (which was much closer to this game than the WV game), and they weren't an FBS squad. (Don't forget VMI put 31 points on the board the week before that.) Our defense isn't infallible and (to me) it stood to reason that there were just too many changes on this team for us to come in and be that competitive with even a mediocre FBS team.

Again, I was wrong and I'm not upset about that. It was a prediction that went further than most, but it wasn't completely insane.

Now don't be so pompous about being right. It's just not nice.
Our soft corners hurt us a lot last year...saw marked improvement this week!
There's a lot of deserved excitement about this team and staff.
This ball takes funny bounces...any given Saturday!

Go Flames!!!

NSU-10

I understand that NSU is ranked #23 and they went to the playoffs last year (and lost to Old dominion) but they are in the MEAC and play teams like Savannah State, who we played in 2010 and beat (52-14) I have confidence that we will work out our timing issues this week, and with the addition of Aldreakis Allen in the backfield, WE GOT THIS

GO FLAMES!
Nsu beat ssu last year something like 45-3! So technically we smashed them worse than y'all did... But the point is not the level of competition in th meac as much as the competition on Saturday. Is the liberty a type of team that gets in shootouts agains the opposing team?

*ps. I don't think the band is coming... Something about they were not welcomed last time?

21,000 people will watch the game, including about 2,000 from Norfolk State (maybe more).
I'm right so far ;-)
