thanks for clarifying Sum...and having checked out the link, the red tailed hawk would definitely be better followed by the third down music.

Announcer: Flames Fans...its THIRD DOWN (play sound effect)...I definitely would not want to hear that followed by thousands of cheering fans as an opposing defender

That was me that recommended Humble Tip's LU part. Seriously, Franklin County does the eagle shriek on 3rd downs and it is AWFUL, Luconn...your exactly right, worst move we could make. I don't know if i can take it 10 times a game.

I love the idea of...It's third down...then the chorus LU LU LU...it's the loudest point of almost every game. I really think it could be a 3rd down tradition were looking for.

Elon was here a few years ago with their "phoenix" caw, caw, caw. They were OBNOXIOUS and the noise they made was worse. I say no goofy noises. We're Liberty!!

Don't worry folks, we are not playing the Eagle screech. We just wanted to see what the reaction would be to it. Great feedback from you, and banter bank and forth. We have a very passionate fan base. Look forward to seeing all you at Williams Stadium aka THE BILL on Saturday. Be early, be loud, wear red!

Go Flames!

I still like the idea of pounding on a Liberty Bell (like the sound Lehigh had), even if it was Sum It Up's original idea!

I think that could be the start of a great tradition here, WE WANT A BELL!

I'm not a fan of canned music to get people going. I'd rather we try to start something organically that involved the fans and the band. That's what makes the college football experience better than pro football.

that song would be awesome for run out music

Just trying to think of something the band already has music for at least for this season.

I am curious as to what music they are using for the hype video before 2001 this year. This was last year's theme:

Just as an outside observer, I think it's time Liberty scraps 2001 for something else as far as run-out music. That's South Carolina's tradition. Not Liberty's. If the school wants to build its own tradition, it's own niche, it should probably start there.

Agreed. I really do like that Thousand Foot Crutch song that Rooster posted. Seems like a great run-out song.

I think they use 2001 because they can coordinate it well with the band so they can start the fight song.

they could bring this one out as a runout song (especially for the night games)

You know that isn't likely to happen. If it's a South Carolina thing and Barber can bring it here, he's going to.

The 2001 thing is good, but you will have to forgive me because I always think of the San Diego Chicken when I hear it because I was at the game where he "hatched"

The reason I suggested "let the sparks fly" was not to diss 2001 but to suggest something that fits our personna as the "FLAMES". But I also realize that there are folks who will not like it. I'm cool either way, just a suggestion.

I don't care what South Carolina does but that song is just way too over dramatic. It's a football game, not someone ascending in a chariot of fire. Need something with a little more umph and little less awe
