If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

It's completely logic defying and fun to watch. I'm just hoping for a Beltway World Series this season.

With all due respect, I'm just hoping they make the playoffs as a wild card team.

3.5 games out of first, 1.5 games up on the Rays who most consider the hottest team in the MLB. Things are definitely going to get interesting in September, especially with 7 games against the Yankees, 3 with the Rays, and 3 with the A's.

And a 6-0 win last night. I love seeing those. Those one-run games were killing me.

O's win three of four against the AL Central leading White Sox.

Things you never thought you'd hear in spring training: O's and Yankees with a huge series in the Bronx in September.

Only three games back. Yankees struggling with injuries. Huge opportunity for Baltimore.

This would be a great opportunity to see Obama trot out to the mound and lob up a sissy ceremonial first pitch one last time!

I get sick when people talk about the Rays. We have no offense. I don't know why people keep pretending that we do.

but somehow the Rays continue to be in the hunt. I don't get the Rays...yes their pitching is great, but their offense has been awful.

Somehow they continue to win games and stay close...

I am a bit surprised that none of our Reds fans on the board have piped up with their own surprise at their position.

And for the record, even in their worst years the O's have never stunk like this year's Astros. 2012 is a stink for the ages in Houston.

So has most of Greater Houston. I went to a game with some friends from my life group at church and it was practically friends & family night at Minute Maid Park. The ballpark alone is a good reason to catch a game. Sadly now it is the only reason other than the opposing lineup.

That ballpark needs to get rid of the abomination of a hill in center field. Love the LF wall and area above it, but the incline field nonsense needs to be illegal.

Tal's Hill is one of my favorite features of the ballpark. Sadly it is about to come down after this season by all indications. Even sadder, the 'Stros leave the NL for the DH-infected AL next season. Ugh.

I also like Tal's Hill. It's a unique feature that really sets the park apart.

My only issue is that it may injure a player someday. Having said that, few balls make it out there.

The Houston fan great escape is the best things that's happened in awhile for them though last year

Don't look now, but it's Sept. 5th, and the Orioles are tied for FIRST place with the Yanks! :clapping

Truly amazing. Kudos to Buck Showalter for getting the absolute best out of this collection of players. As much as I can't stand Angelos, it looks like he's finally realized that he needs to get out of the way and let real baseball people run the show.

I'd love to see the Orioles pull of the division win and have a strong playoff run that leads to a Beltway World Series.

I've been watching the Orioles for over 40 years, and tonight's 8th inning was maybe the best O's inning I've ever seen in my life!

After giving up 4 runs to the Yanks in the top of the 8th inning to tie it at 6-6, the O's hit 3 dingers to now lead 10-6. And still nobody out.

BTW, really nice statue of Cal. The quintessential pro taking his rightful place at the front of a storied franchise.

EDIT: Am I the only one that thinks Buck Showalter sounds EXACTLY like Billy Bob Thornton?

Buck was on Dan Patrick today. He deserves MOTY no matter how these last 25 games shake out.
