If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

It's like a whole other country.
Texas is a whole other country...this is true...I am still unsure if that is a good thing or not, but Texans are entertaining that is for sure

I personally would love to see Texas break away and form a true Libertarian ONLY nation with Reason Magazine and Ron Paul types in what little offices such a nation would have. Why do I want this? To prove to every Democrat AND Republican that Libertarians really do know best and such a nation would THRIVE in today's world.

One can dream.

It sounds like a great idea until I stop and realize that people like you NotAJerry and CovertHawk would be living there

I don't know a whole lot about the revenue generating capacity of high school football in TX. I know football is popular, but if the stadium was financed, I'm willing to bet that the taxpayers are directly on the hook for it and they will subsidize the payments. I mean just do a simple interest rate of 5% and look at that interest payment.

Also, I thought NAJ was a libertarian... Since when did they start supporting Keynesian economics? :dontgetit

Yeah, these big stadium complexes are voted on by the people and not forced on unsuspecting communities.

And as a reference point, Allen is not far from FCS title game site Frisco. It is just a tad richer and more exurbian.

Spending that much on a scoreboard isn't crazy talk down here by larger school districts. But this is a small East Texas outpost. The same can be said for Tatum.

As for Allen, they held some standing room only scrimmage the past couple of evenings. I worked with a colleague from Allen yesterday who is accustomed to the finer things in life. And even she was blown away by her experience Thursday night.

There was an episode about just that on the greatest TV show ever, Friday Night Lights!

+1,000,000. Jason didn't even know what he had...

She was too good for him. Now her and RIGGINS were perfect! Never liked him with the other girl. Such a great show. I hope Riggins was able to build on that land, Landry and Tyra settled down, Vince won a Stateand Coach Taylor takes the job at Temple and resurrects the program to a BCS bowl win!

I still don't understand how Vince made it to Texas. I SAW him get shot on The Wire.

I'd like to have a beer with Tim Riggins.
