i don't care about the creationism as long Liberty teaches both which they do.

I don't understand why Liberty needs to put their 2cents in on every little thing involving politics and I don't know why you would want Liberty to do so. It's a educational institution not a political platform. so saying sticking up for marriage is stupid.

It's politics that are going to kill Liberty. BYU and Baylor teach creationism and I.D. In fact Baylor has a Intelligent Design Program like Liberty does with Creation Studies. Plus they have a class about how Gay is a sin, something actually Liberty doesnt have. called Homosexually is a gateway drug

ID department

Plus BYU is known as a racist school along with being Homophobic. They are run by the Church who stopped gay marriage in Cali.

So what Liberty teaches has nothing to do with getting an invite. the difference between the three schools is that Liberty feels to be political in everything. I guess you can say thanks to Matt Stavar and the Liberty Counsel. They say things almost on the WBC church like Barber saying his cousin deserves Aids. :?

Wow! Isn't Liberty's mission to "train champions for Christ"? Are you confusing a biblical stand with a political one. And by the way, did you know that Coach Minter considered running for Congress as a Republican? Should that disqualify him from coaching at an educational institution. http://charlotte.news14.com/content/top ... t-kissell/

I don't think Liberty's Christian mission will hold her back very long. There are way to many Christians, way up high in the NCAA, NFL etc. They'er everywhere guys ...... Just give it some time.

That's not what ballah meant. Yes everyone is pretty much Republican at Liberty, but we do things to pretty much endorse whatever Republican candidate there is (while not officially doing it). Like giving Robert Hurt a game ball at a football game is a perfect example of what ballah is talking about it. We know 90% of us are Republican. Why make it so obvious by using such methods?

spreading the gospel and being political are two totally different things. I love liberty and I feel they have gotten much better in this regard but the American church as a whole has been too focused on the political realm instead of the spiritual realm for way too long.

Liberty can tone things down politically and still stick to their mission.

I don't have a problem with it at all, and for the record "I'm not" a Republican, I'm a registered Independent. But I'm having a hard time voting for one of the parties right now, because it's been high-jacked by people I disagree with socially. I bet Liberty would jump at the chance to give a gameball to a socially conservative Demarcate, if they could find one. I did a Google search for "socially conservative Demarcate" and nothing came up

Did you notice Mike in the article said he wanted to pray with his Pastor before running for Congress ....... I'm with Mike all the way!

I am also registered independent and would vote for a conservative democrat and last one I remember was Zell Miller from Ga.

I agree 100% with this, I hope to see the day when politics aren't such a big deal on this campus.

So yeah, how about that conference realignment? I heard that Davidson would move its women's lacrosse program from the Big South if they went to the CAA.

Maybe because you spelled it demarcate instead of democrat.

Back to Realignment I have a bad feeling that Liberty will be left out of the next WAC teams added. I feel that the next four teams picked will be Appy State, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, and JMU.

I also think LIB should stay out of politics and if it takes LIB being slack on rules as well as how strong it is Christian to be in the FBS then I would be ok with that as soon as possible. Sorry just my opinion.

Being the worst team in the FBS is better than being the best team in the FCS!!!!
