Which would have been a bad move IMO. Unless we already had a good FBS invite....which we apparently don't. We are holding out for the SEC. I just know it.

I realize I make my living on this website by nobody agreeing with me, but with Stony Brook gone, why leave until we get an invite? Beat Coastal and you get the autobid. Why make it difficult?

I know, that's putting aside the intrastate rivalries that would be good if we joined the CAA.

Because now making the playoffs is like that quote... About paying for that something... It feels good but you can't really brag about it.

Anyone else starting to get impatient? We need out of the Big South and into FBS yesterday. Big South is taking on water and quickly!!

I love you logic. You're kind of like my loyal opposition. :D

I mean we would be in FBS if anybody wanted us...

Maybe the Powers That Be haven't been checking their emails. I'm sure the B1G has already contacted us. They are in need of Bowl Eligible teams.

Maybe they need to put me in a room with the FBS presidents. The sheer power of my vision speak will trump all of their Liberty fears. Anyone (presidents included), who can't see or understand how we would greatly contribute to an FBS conference is bordering on the unintelligent.

Yeah that one was for you, Haize, though I was somewhat serious. Are we playing hardball with these guys or just sitting on the pulled out bleecher at the dance texting on our phone while waiting for an invite?

But we can't have an invite because we supposedly hate gay people.

Is it possible a low- or mid- major league is apprehensive about offering and invitation because Liberty would be soon be dominant?

That's a big assumption. Especially considering we are only dominant in WBB and Olympic sports in our current conference.

Yeah, we have never been to the playoffs in FB, I can understand where that dominate comment would worry someone.

Sadly, the perception our school has will keep some folks from wanting anything to do with us, despite out athletic programs. It would be ideal if we could jump to FBS and be indy like BYU and ND, but unfortunately that can't be.

Being an Indy would be a horrible move. I'm glad we are not even in a position to entertain the notion!

Many of you underestimate the disdain the liberal academic world has towards Liberty. I've attended two state schools since graduating from Liberty and the fact that we teach a biblical account of creation is enough in itself for them to disassociate themselves. personally I feel this may be a long road for us.

Mormons tend to be more politically correct than say most Baptists, so they aren't as hated. Even though academia still hates them.

I rather LU stay teaching Creationism, standing for marriage between a man and a woman as the only definitions of marriage, etc then being any member of any FBS conference. The rest of the world is going to hell so why should we care what they think about us.

Stay true to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, don't worry about playing nice with those in academia powers just to get an invite.

I agree foreverFSU. Liberty cannot compromise to join a conference. Comparing BYU to Liberty is not really a fair comparison. The world doesn't hate any other religion like it does Christianity.

Again, the liberal elite took Liberty to a very high mountain and showed it all the FBS conferences of the NCAA and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Be true to who we are .... and God will place us where "He" chooses.
