Exactly my point. How do we know the team record wasn't 11 by one guy and 2 by the rest? Would it be that difficult? I'm even having trouble finding it.

We just solved our problems with t.v. by purchasing an HD antenna. I can't believe how well it works... I'll just have to go to a local joint, or a friends house for the college games on ESPN. I'm so pumped for Saturdays with Lee Corso and Co.

Man, NBC is so terrible at this. I've been trying to pretend that the stuff at night is live since they don't show most of it during the day. Last night during the individual gymnasitcs the final score is being assessed to decide if the russian or the american gets the gold and it's going to be close. The sound has been messed up for a while so the crowd is way louder than the announcers. A lot of tension is being built up because the judges were taking a while and then finally... the crowd goes wild! There's some ambiguous emotions from the 2 competitors, and I have no idea what is going on because I couldn't hear them say the score and the NBC graphics guy decided that the most important score of the evening didn't warrant being put on the screen.

NBC pushes so hard for these "classic" moments to the point that they'll try to produce them with stupid back stories that they tell you over and over and breaking up 30 minutes of competition into 2 hours with other events mixed in, and when they finally get one they just totally flop on their face.

Galen Rupp takes silver in the men's 10,000 meters tonight. That's the first medal in the 10k for US men since 1964 and only the 3rd top 10 finish since then. I know most Americans don't have the attention span to watch a 27-minute race, but this is a really big deal!

By the way, you might remember that Rupp guy.
