I think it is FSN related since Alan York is the one talking about it, but that is just a guess.

I really hope its not a formatting of the show or the addition of HD cameras. That would be cool but im hoping for much more.

I was thinking HD upgrades and some other changes coming for FSN. Such as the tv coverage for the football team this season.

Well the Liberty Channel 43 is already HD ready , it just needs HD programming...

It'd be a nice upgrade if that's what it is.

I just don't think anything big is going to be first talked about by Alan York. Nothing against him but he is going to let the athletic dept tease things before he does. I think HD is what makes the most sense, but who knows.

So what exactly is a fan fest? Get to meet the coaches and players?

I haven't heard anything at all from the school but it is something most major programs do during the spring and occasionally as a part of their training camp. Generally they have an open practice in the stadium and then do a program of some sort to engage the fans with the team. Then autographs & picture mayhem ensues. Often times it includes a carnival and live music.

Considering the closed door nature of everything up until this point under Coach Gill, this sounds like a great concession to the fans.

The Chancellor's Cookout is an opportunity for the incoming freshmen to learn the football traditions (like the fight song and the 1st down Move Those Chains chant). This Flames Fan Fest Im sure will include that as well as many of the other things Sly mentioned
