wow that's awesome! Good luck with the game and stay safe. Although how well do the O's play against the Angels

I missed out on seeing the Rays in Minnesota by 3 days in 2010. It stunk. :?

Sorry I can't answer questions about the Angels, I just thought that was awesome to hear.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm pumped. I hope the O's play better than they have been. The Angels blistered them earlier this week.

I've lost hope in the braves. We just can't win games that help us in the standings. slipping farther behind washington. If this keeps up we might not get a wildcard shot.

Something special happening in Nats Park these days. If they find a way to add another starter for the playoffs, because Strasburg will be shut down, then they have a legit shot at the World Series this year. They get Drew Storen back in a couple of weeks, Jayson Werth not long after that, and the 5th string catcher has an OPS over 1000 right now with 2 HRs already.

24 runs in a 3 game sweep of the Giants with Zimmermann/Jackson/Detwiler facing Lincecum/Bumgarner/Cain. It's just getting silly now that Beast Mode is back batting cleanup.

I honestly think its more of a testament to how weak the National League is this year. The Nationals look as though they will win the NL East, though I still think Atlanta has a good shot.

To be honest, Pittsburgh is the only other consistent team this year, and time will tell if they fold down the stretch again.

The Nationals thrive on playing smart baseball (something I cant say for my team). But when you're depending on the bullpen that they have, and end of the rotation starters like Ching Minh Wang, and Ross Detwiler, regression to the mean is pretty much inevitable.

Who will be the youngest position player to ever play in the All-Star game? That's right, The Harper.

I'm not sure why people vote for players who haven't even played most of the season. Oh, probably the same who voted for Chipper. I love Chipper but he's not an all star. This is the problem with fans voting.

Watch the Greinke "ejection." Stan Holbrook becomes yet another clueless umpire who is too busy injecting himself into the game to understand the context of a player expressing frustration over their own play and not trying to show up anyone.

Yeah, that was bad. Umps really need more accountability.

my buddies dad is a minor league umpire, he said the mlb guys are scrutinized to no end. he said many minor league umpires while don't make as much, would much rather do minor league games then face the criticism that mlb umps deal with from the league. we just don't hear about it.

Ichiro to the Yankees. That's a surprise. I don't think I saw a single rumor regarding that possibility.

I'm sure he'll find a way to hit 20 HRs and bat .330.

Not at all. There's plenty of history showing how to treat the comeback season for a TJ surgery pitcher. If you rush them back, and let them pitch a full season, you're lucky if they're Kerry Wood or Francisco Liriano and struggle the rest of their career. If you do the right thing, and shut them down after 160 IP or so, you get a quality young pitcher again with the perfect example being the current NL ERA leader, the Nats own Jordan Zimmermann. Let's not forget the Nats 6th SP right now is John Lannan, a guy with a 3.46 ERA this year, who has been stuck in AAA almost all season.
