Coach Gill is holding the line!
Liberty Head Football Coach Turner Gill has announced the dismissal of defensive lineman Paco Varol from the football program, effective immediately.

"Defensive lineman Paco Varol has been dismissed from football team due to violating team policy," commented Gill. "His dismissal goes into effect immediately."

Too bad Coach Gill was not here last year.

Sad. Don't mean to pull a Jesus juke but let's be sure to pray for him regarding whatever happened.

Glad to see policies actually enforced.

Of course I wish the guy luck in whatever he is dealing with, but you should not be playing football while attempting to get your act together. It takes away from the team in my opinion

Dang. Didn't all of those Kansas fans warn us about how Gill has no rules and no control and lets players police themselves? I think they may have been wrong.

You forgot to RA-ify the question. It was more like "keeping players holy" or something like that.

Im sorry but this had to be something really bad for him to be "dismissed" from the team, im sure TG is not some sort of tyrant, that if a kid does something wrong he automatically is gone from the team. But it is also a good message that he is sending to the team, that im sure every coach has told there players "don't do nothing to embarras the PROGRAM".

This was a team policy issue, so its hard to say what aspect of the Liberty Way (whether its the "New New" one or not...idjit...) it was or if it was just a rule within the code of conduct for the team
