If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

There is a very good possibilty that Rutgers could be getting the Big East BCS bid with this weeks upcoming game Rutgers has been playing out of there mind and are poised for a big upset and a shot at the Big East Title. If they do win chaos will erupt in the Big East with the Big 3 WVU, Louisville, and Rutgers all at one loss. Which could leave the possibilty of WVU still winning the conference and the BCS bid.

I'm Rutgers does win so we don'thave to put up with even more of a joke in the BCS title game.

I guess I have to say what every American already knows, this BCS system gets mor eridiculous by the day.

If everybody agrees, why would you not want Louisville in the title game? If that happens, the BCS system will have failed every single year it has existed. I can't see how anybody who wants college football to not suck isn't pulling for Louisville to get in the national championship or to not get in and still be undefeated. It would just encourage the powers that be.

Why am I always straightening you guys out. The BCS is a success. Here's why. (in best Woody Paige voice.)
It has people in heated discussion about college football, bringing more attention to the sport. More attention means better ratings. Better ratings means higher ad rates. Higher ad rates means more money to the network. More money to the network means higher payouts to the teams. Folks, it all comes down to MONEY. THAT is what makes the BCS a success.

Right but we're talking about from our perspective since we're not the NCAA.

But the above paragraph is exactly why I don't watch or care about college football. I occasionally catch a single game here or there if there's nothing better on. I would care about it if there was a true national champ but since there can't be, what's the point?

I think most understand that a centralized playoff television package would generate far more income than the current bowl mess. But university presidents are string believers int he bird in the hand principle and all of the perks they recive from bowl commitees (it makes politicians squeamish).

that was a really good game. Rutgers was very impressive. Not the outcome I was looking for though.
