He is the most dominant, most unselfish player I have ever "whitnessed". I was just old enough to see Magic pass the torch to MJ, but magic would be the only thing close. If he didnt have to talk to the media, I would probably like him more.

A 100% healthy bulls team could have won the title this year.

regular season doesn't matter. the bulls whooped the heat in the regular season last year and then got made a fool of in the playoffs. the bulls didn't get better this year, the heat did though. it would of been more of the same. and the bulls don't match up with okc at all.

They lost to Philly because their best player blew his knee out and it completely changed the dynamic of the series because he was about 85 percent of their offense.

The Bulls won 75.8% of their games thus year. Last year they won 75.6%. Rose only played in 39 of their 66 regular season games. They got better, without a doubt, by being able to do just as well in the regular season without the defending MVP.

they are paper champs built for the regular season. who cares. the regular season doesn't matter. at. all. stop referring to it. otherwise the spurs would be the champs. how on earth did the bulls get better? rip hamilton? they also played the year before without any consistant big play in the regular season with boozer and noah being out nearly half the season at different times. they probably could of won 80-83% otherwise. nearly everyone in chicago understands that the bulls are nowhere near their level and unless we sign some real talent, we'll never be able to compete for a title against the 2 dynastic teams we just saw run the floor.

Regular season doesn't matter? Interesting, last time I checked, you have to perform in the regular season to get the ever critical higher seed and home-court advantage.

The home team in the playoffs had a playoff winning percentage of 67.5%. How do you get home court advantage? Winning in the REGULAR SEASON.

The higher seeded team (I count OKC as the higher seed against MIA based on better regular season record even though they were both #2s) won 61.9% of their games, and the higher seeded team only lost four of the 15 playoff matchups. Take out the Finals since it was 2 vs. 2, and the higher seeded team won 64.6% of their games and only lost three of 14 playoff matchups.

Getting the #1 seed isn't always important, but being able to get a top-four seed is critical. You don't advance very far in the playoffs without ever getting home court advantage or getting really lucky by playing injury plagued teams.

The Harvard College Sports Analysis Collective also shows that a higher seed is very valuable. How do you get a higher seed? Winning in the REGULAR SEASON. http://harvardsportsanalysis.wordpress. ... yoff-seed/

you did all that work for nothing. in the end, using the regular season to determine who is a better team than others is totally irrelevant. there are plenty of paper champ regular season teams that just don't cut it in the playoffs because you are playing quality opponents day after day. when you are laying the smack to inferior teams 50% of the time you amass stats and wins that are meaningless in determining your value. how many regular season champs won in the finals that year over the last 10 years? i bet its not very many. you like to create meaningless percentages, maybe you can work on that one.

i watched 80% of all bulls games year after year. they are built for the regular season. not to compete day after day against good teams. this years team was not better than last year. proven by the fact that they couldn't even beat the sixers in a 7 game series without their superstar. he's all they have. you have no idea what you are talking about.

I do wonder what a healthy Bulls team would've done in the playoffs, but I think that the Heat proved that they were just playing at another level and it doesn't really matter.

The Bulls, much like the Heat, have to prove that they are true winners by winning the games that matter. Sure the regular season matters, but all of that work is completely meaningless if you can't perform in the playoffs. Its why so many were critical of Lebron for so long. He shut us all up, but that was the reasoning behind it, at least it was for me.

the bulls would of made it to the conference finals in all likelyhood. but i don't think they could beat the spurs, heat, or okc in a 7 game series. not with just rose. they have to get another 20+ pt scorer.

agreed completely, especially with rose slowly becoming known for injuries. They can not put such a heavy load on him and expect to win come playoff time

that boozer contract killed them. he's marginal offensively and a liability on offense. we did not get the boozer of 6 years ago.

Since when was playoff winning percentage a meaningless percentage? That's just an asinine statement.

Yeah, Boozer has been a disappointment. He never seems happy where he is. It would have been interesting to see him stay in Cleveland with LeBron. He COULD have been a nice inside offensive weapon and rebounder. But Utah SEEMED like a good fit as well where he could have played a poor mans Karl Malone with D Williams. The Bulls didn't make sense to me and IMO he certainly hasn't lived up to the hype. Remember the Heat were rumored to be recruiting him and/or Bosh. Glad to see his fellow Dukie win a championship though!
