This clip from a suburban Rochester town called Greece has been all over the web the past 24 hours and it is horrific.

A fund has been hastily set up to send Karen on vacation. The grace this woman has shown on television interviews is amazing.

What gets me is how not one kid on that bus was willing to stand up in defense of the lady. Peer pressure is brutal among middle schoolers but this is taking it to the max. It is a sad indicator of where we are heading collectively as a society. But the outpouring of response to the video certainly is reason for some hope.

Disgusting. Even if our kids could take the bus to school, my wife wouldn't let them. I don't think I would either.

It also shows how much effect Hollywood and porn has had on kids. It's sad that I even have to say that.

guys guys guys, this is obviously an aberration. an open minded, accepting of everyone, feminist, liberal minded environment such as nyc could never produce this type of atmosphere. this is clearly the result of an area of the country having too many christians living there.

If it weren't for the school bus, I would have assumed it was a Christian or private school. Because they're just as bad, if not worse, than public schools. Though, Rochester NY isn't exactly the Bible-belt, but one can dream.

Seriously, back before I got married and was looking for work, I was a substitute teacher in the public system for a year back in my hometown (I should have been a hero!). The middle school was very difficult, and I have somewhat of a short temper when kids disrespect me. But your hands are tied, there's not a lot you can do, and the kids know it. This was 10 years ago. I know it's gotten worse since then.

when i went to a christian grade school i would say 60-70% of the students there didn't even come from "christian" families. it was just a better education than public schools so people who could afford it made the monetary sacrifice.

i work with jr highers at church. i've wanted ot choke the life out of a few of them. the majority of jr highers are mentally idiotic and obnoxious and have no respect for authority. i can't imagine being a substitute teacher in the public school system and having to deal with jr highers. i remember how awful kids were with our subs in jr high.

It has gotten worse and it was pretty bad when I was in middle school. A lady in our life group is a middle school math teacher teaching remedial math. She has been doing that for 5 years because she is so good at it, or so they say. The stories she tells never cease to shock me. Kids have always been cruel but it just gets worse every year.....

If one of those kids were mine, I would need some of that money to bail me out of jail after I got a hold of junior or little missy. Like the song says, I see my father in me. He would not have grounded me, I would be underground.

wow yea that is pretty brutal and sickening..problem is adults cant do anything now bc you will get sued if you use physical punishment or hurt little johnnys feelings and make him insecure about himself. i would stick these kids with 500 hours of community service and 30 days in juvi..this is sick
