the idea i believe was to have lebron on perkins because you can switch off the pick and roll. thus eventually james would be on durant. but they just didn't do the pick and roll as much, kd didn't need it to get open looks.

durant and james should be guarding each other. james is the best defender on the floor most of the time outside battier. he won't shut durant down, but he can keep at a pedestrian level. the problem is that if he gets on him, they'll just run the pick and roll to get him off.

SCAR?

Well I certainly know SCAR has no chance! On the other hand with my deceptive slowness.....

Actually Bosh would be the best fit but he is not 100%. He has the foot speed to stay with him and the height to bother him. Battier would be my second choice while he is slower of foot then Bosh he is a smart defender on the wing and strong enough to battle in the post. LeBron plays a lot of Ole defense that either results in a steal or getting burned for a lay up. He showed against Garnett that he needs lots of work on his post defense. I like LeBron on Westbrook or Osama Bin Harden as he is quick enough to stay with either and stronger so he can bump them off their line. And considering his aptitude to disappear in the 4th qtr why worry about whether he will be fresh or not!
Wade is hurt and playing poorly. He needs to figure it out.
bosh is playing pretty poor defense when on the floor for some reason, i can't see him effectively handling durant. james is scoring more in the 4th quarter than anyone else in the playoffs while playing more minutes than anyone so i don't know why anyone worries about him tiring out defending durant. it would actually be easier for him to guard durant than it would be to guard westbrook. he only needs to guard westbrook if he gets hot. wade is the xfactor...they need him defensively and offensively so badly. this funk he is in is pretty bad.

Bosh is still hurt. Having an ab sprain is like a back sprain in that it affects everything u do. Wade is also limping. Plus I think in the back of his mind he thinks he could still be The Man and is having difficulty dealing with it.

Defenders switch too much on lazy screens. Its like the coaches have thier choice of who they want defending their offensive player.

Hedging. It seems like thats one thing that Duke and other college programs do so well that you barely see in the NBA. Im not an expert, and I realize its not as effective in the NBA because of the caliber of shooters and athletes all over, its just not done enough in my opinion.

If James guards Durant all game, KD will score 50 and the game will be over before the 4th quarter starts. James is a bad on-ball defender. His "strength" on D is coming from off the ball to help.

if the game is over before the 4th quarter thats where notajerry would shine considering he feels he could lead the league in 4th quarter scoring in these type of situations.

Yep, LeBron is a poor defender. So is every other small forward in the game then since LeBron led all small forwards in voting for All-Defense. He only held opponents to a 10.6 PER (league average is 15) when playing SF, 14.8 when playing PF.

We've got stupid Westbrook tonight. If he doesn't stop jacking up every shot he sees, the Thunder are going to lose to an inferior team.

And the REAL D Wade showed up.

Durant and Harden are over 50% shooting yet the Stupid version of Westbrook is out there tonight jacking up shots from everywhere while going 6-18. He's awful running the offense. They should seriously consider giving most of the PG minutes to Fisher in the 4th.

Wade is a big difference tonight. The refs may as well toss on some Heat jerseys at this point. They've made 4-5 pathetic calls in favor of the Heat just in the first 4 minutes of the 4th already.

Bosh smacks Sefalosha in the head on a shot, but the refs happen to "miss" that call. The officiating has been brutal, even for the NBA.

EDIT: And no call on James on an obvious foul. It's amazing that Miami just happens to be getting the benefit of the doubt on nearly every close play. This was as fixed as the draft lottery.

LeBron with clutch fourth quarter baskets in an NBA FInals win. How are the LeBron hates going to gloss over that now?

lol. that was a foul but if you watch the nba that foul isn't called most of the time. especially in these types of games. you don't have these problems though if you don't get down by double digits in the first half.

The NBA is back. It lost its appeal for a few years, but this has been great sport.

Magic Johnson called Westbrook's performance last night the worst PG performance in an NBA finals...ever.

Through 3 quarters you've got Durant 7-12 from the floor and Harden 5-7. 19 combined shots. Westbrook was 6-18. He's not a PG and he's a detriment to the team if his shot isn't falling because he cannot run an offense.
