Here is the place for all other LU sponsored sports. Come here to post about: Men's/Women's Cross Country, Men's Golf, Men's/Women's Soccer, Men's/Women's Tennis, Men's/Women's Track & Field, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Swimming & Dive, Women's Volleyball
Let's be real honest here boys -- If Liberty wants to be taken seriously with this move to the BCS level or what ever it's called D-1 (football) then you have to get ovwer the little club team championships...
The big boys of the college world aren't bragging about glorified intramurals. That's why the rest of the college world laughs at LU, because of crew and club championships... good grief.

Just because they thought it was important enough to get you to write a story does not mean they think its as big of a deal as an ncaa team winning a national championship. Club sports and ncaa sports are completely different categories.
I'll grant that point postie...just figured that some congratulations would be in order. There is a desire to increase coverage for the club sports but still have some distinguishing factors between he NCAA sports and the club sports although to the general public, the two would get equal space (or something like that)
Liberty Class of 2009
2007 AND 2008 Big South Football Champions
2014 FCS Playoff Qualifier
Club sports thinks they are some big deal. Hockey does it every year. If these club sports actually played a real NCAA team they would be killed. I wish hockey would so they would shut up. THey are fun games to go to and have fun at but they dont matter to anyone except the casual (pointless) sports fan at LU who thinks hockey and crew are the real deal.

Men's D1 beat a semi-pro team so there you go. Also beat a Penn State team that is transitioning to NCAA D1 and has quite a few players that will make their team, including the son of Eddie Olcyk. Crew IMO will eventually be a full fledged NCAA sport soon.
Liberty is in the clubhouse at +15 for the tournament (+4 for the day) in a T-16. There are still quite a few teams on the course and they will likely improve their position before the day is finished.
If you like men's sports and don't like what Title IX has done to men's sports you'll love crew for women. They carry 40+ on the roster and allow schools to carry more male athletes.
No that would be if they win the national title...which would then blow up my phone, and my bosses phone...and the lead designer of the Liberty Journal's phone because the new issue goes to the printer Friday...

Hope they do it!
Man that statement gives me chills. Gotta do this. Another day like yesterday (or better) should do it. Please no Tuesday repeat.

It's like the school bragging about the BS debate team championships.
