The Rangers' Josh Hamilton tags the o's with 4 dingers and a double: his 18 total bases are the most in the history of baseball for a single game.

And he nearly missed the one in the 5th inning too. It's his contract year, except him to absolutely go off if he can keep himself healthy.

You know you had a bad night when Elliot Johnson was the top performer for the Rays.

Be nice and don't sweep us. Our teams sucks right now. :( (which is why I didn't engage in any trash talking)

Almost a sweep. I keep telling myself it's too early, but I'm really beginning to believe in these Birds.

I think they're real. Red Sox have so many problems. Yankees do too, but they still have enough talent. It's going to come down to between Baltimore, Yankees, and the Rays. Toronto will be good, but not good enough (like pretty much every year).

Couldn't believe they didn't walk Weiters to get to Johnson. The Rays got so lucky getting that last out.

Just got back from my first outing to Camden Yards. Beautiful ballpark, hate that the O's lost to the BoSox though.

Camden Yards is still one of the prettiest ballparks in baseball. I went there in 1996 as my 14th birthday present from my aunt.

For such a pretty park, it sure has a pretty walk up Russell Street from the Holiday Inn

I'll be there in July when the Rays come to town. Wanted to see them against the Nats but that didn't work out.

Just makes me angry the Rays weren't able to take advantage of it. :banghead

This next series should help figure out where the Orioles and Rays truly are. It's interesting to note that the Rays weren't really doing much better before the injuries started.

The Birds are a bit banged up as well. Markakis is the latest casualty. Just glad Adam Jones appears to be OK. Jones is the man, and leads the league in gum-chewing RPM.

Orioles: We Have Enough Talent To Win 5 More Games This Season
BALTIMORE—Despite well over a decade of futility before their hot start this season, the Baltimore Orioles, currently tied for first in the AL East, told reporters Thursday they trust in one another and believe they have enough talent this year to win five more games. "This is a special Orioles team," said manager Buck Showalter, confirming he believes fans can pencil in the Orioles to carry a .045 winning percentage the rest of the season. "With a few more fluke home runs from Adam [Jones], some bad umpiring calls going our way, and the kind of random chance we’ve come to depend on, I have no problem at all saying we can take five of our next 111 games." Team members however were quick to caution that their chances of winning five games could be jeopardized by unforeseen circumstances, such as injuries or the franchise getting demoted to AAA.

Matusz is turning it around. Going for the sweep tonight!

So much for the Matusz resurgence and Red Sox sweep. But, it's June and the O's are seven games over .500 and tied for first. Wouldn't have imagined that before the season. It's worrisome, however, that their run differential has dropped to the negative (the only AL East team with a negative).

For the O's fans in town ... Dylan Bundy is pitching the first game of tonight's doubleheader at City Stadium. Definitely worth coming out to watch. 6:05 p.m.
