link doesn't work. can you look at it and verify. I need a good JMU laugh right now
Dang they deleted the thread :? Guess they didn't want us laughing at them. I wish I would have copied over the 1st post. Basically a JMU fan wrote an email to all of the current players telling them they should walk off the field at FedEx when they play WVU because the JMU administration doesn't support them or something. It was just barely coherent but you could feel the posters rage. The response after were pretty good. Just shows that while we feel like we are on the outside looking in right now I feel our school is in good hands. That can't be said for others.

Yeah- the level of angst that those fans have is over the top- and, like you said, I think that most LU fans have a better grip on reality (if that is possible) as well as confidence that our school's leaders have done everything possible to put us in a position for an invitation. Boy, do I love reading the comments over on CAAZone; it really is humorous to see the level of arrogance some of the JMU folks have regarding their school.

It's hard to not feel like we're on the outside looking in. Hopefully luck swings out way and we won't be that position and a conference sees the value we bring on the field in all sports not just football. I quite don't blame them being so arrogant. I am. It excusing it,they have just been so successful in the last couple of years, especially after winning the NC. If i was a donor at JMU and had all that success on the field and facilities upgrade in the millions of dollars and my AD said we were committed to FCS. I would Be livid as well. The anger is understandable but still arrogant. ActIng like they should be getting an invite to the ACC.

Duke no one is arguing with the fact that they don't have their ducks in a row. I'm stating that with all the commitment of the fan base and facilities, if I were a JMU alum that has had the success on the field and money commitments. I would be just as angry if the AD told me we were staying in the CAA. Did you even read my post. You might be time to make your annual appointment to see your local optometrist. You might have to get your transition bifocals updated.

I don't think anyone could read this post with all the typos and incoherent sentences:

Kricket, I understand there are some typos and grammar issues in some of my posts. I am sure you and duke are not illogical and irrational that you cannot understand my points and ideas. That what its about. Don't worry I'll correct my typos and grammar problems. Btw, I should be more careful because the grammar police is going to raid FF.

You guys are awful at hijacking threads. Conference realignment is way more important. Looks like the WAC East is the most likely to happen. Now let us speculate - who goes into the WAC and when?

I would have a difficult time with a conference called WAC-E!

Bingo, half of the time I am on my iphone at stop signs. Ok, I'll try not to hijack anymore, now back to our regularly scheduled program. More conference realignment speculation.

Why us into the Sun Belt over App State, JMU, NMST, etc?

I would think WAC would be the greatest chance at this point.

Too many things have to work out just right. I don't think the MAC is serious about expansion at the moment.

+1 completely.

I'm starting to feel like I'm repeating myself.

App State is a good program, but they are in a difficult to access area, very small market, and like most state schools, funding is an issue. Wouldn't shock me though if we both went to the belt.

One more time, JMU isn't a player right now.

I don't know much about NMST. I can tell you though that the comments made by Benson now in several outlets sound favorable to our situation. It is my belief that he wants us, it's just a matter of convincing the Presidents.

As far as the WAC East, I think it's a great idea. I just know how difficult it would be to find 6-8 schools ready to go right now, and that's what it would take for this to work. I'm sure they would love to have us as a part of it. It just seems unlikely to work out.
+1

I think the Sun Belt is right for us .... and I believe App State needs to partner with us. The WAC east could become a tangled mess.
