Can we finally all agree that this guy is not the person LU should have endorsed? I mean really guys? I forgot, he appeared in a commercial for us so we owe him. :?

de-facto, yes. The commercial with Gingrich just happened to hit the airwaves when he was leading in the polls.

Either that's a coincidence, or it wasn't.

I have no basis on this but i think Staver and his Liberty Counsel had a lot of part of Newt and Liberty. If anyone followed him on Twitter and read his Facebook (i haven't but heard), he's practically in love with Newt.

agreed though, i wish Liberty would stay out of politics.

That commercial was on the airwaves months before the campaigns even started full bore. I saw them probably at least a year ago. They brought them out a little more often once Newt was rising though.

would it be safe to say that the only reason dickens posts these is because he hates all things conservative (and Liberty on occasion)

No, but It would be safe to assume that you've wrapped up the homer of the year award for FF and it's only April :clapping :clapping :clapping

+1. Right on the money.

Flamehunter, that would be when I finally saw them during the basketball games. Didn't see it before that though, and Newt peaked around Nov. and Dec.

It's the Law School - more politically conservative than Christian, IMHO.

I am more conservative than most BJ. In fact I support the MOST conservative candidate running. I love Liberty University BJ, but that does not mean that the school can make mistakes without being called out for it. Now if you would have said I do not like Newt, you would be 100% accurate. That is because he isn't a conservative and he has no values. Period.

I would agree with you Flamehunter, but then we would both be wrong. When I attended, it was not politically conservative, but rather theocratic conservatism. Not by the professors, no most of them were people who did not like to get involved in politics, because they realized that could lead to unemployment.

I was called into the dean's office because I pointed the theocratic views of Liberty-Counsel 's non-legal class that was required for law students to take and counted as much as other grades.

I was told quite often by his two teachers, one who just received tenure for doing nothing, that if you did not believe as they taught you, then you did not have a biblical worldview and were wrong. Study

I was told that if you believed that gays could possibly be born gay, you were told you weren't a real christian. :BS

I was told that gay marriage is as serious as Roe v. Wade. Preservation of life and what you decide to do with your body are not the same issue.

I was told that if a law violated your view of the Bible, it was up to you to stand up against the law. It was equated to Martin Luther King Jr's civil disobedience. :?

No, conservative would be the wrong term.

I was told I didn't belong at the law school because I wasn't a typical Liberty student. These same people, who never attended a class at this school should not have an opinion as to the typical liberty student! We have lost good people because of the arrogant, self-serving, egotistic, maniac at the face of the law school.

Could be wrong but I believe part of the accreditation process for a law school is having tenured professors so Lib has made an exception.
this...yeah, some pretty distinguished professors are, so we say a little ticked by this choice.
