I have to add that this is what frustrates me about most of these organizations. "Hey here's the problem. Let someone else be the solution. Spread the word!"

And as such, nothing is done.

Second, why do these guys seem bent on "court justice" rather than shoot if necessary? That REALLY raises an eyebrow to me. (and yes I support the death penalty).

the problem is, this crisis has been over for years. this dude is thought to be dead. they can't even verify that the little raids here or there are even kony people. most of the footage is old, and it is estimated that 10% of the money the company takes in even makes its way to uganda. the rest is

umm no. that is 100% lies.
a) the highest paid employee makes 89,669 a year (jason russell, who spoke in convo last semester and currently suffering from a psychotic breakdown), and their CEO makes 88,241 a year.

b) theyre business model is... different. they believe in raising awareness in america (which increases donations) as well as helping on the ground. it akin to a advertising budget at any for- profit business.

C) kony has been out of uganda since 2006. but he moved into southern sudan, the democratic republic of the congo and the Central African republic. this is NOT over. the film is overly simplistic yes, thats kind of the point, but what your saying is simply not true.

Drink the koolaid it's cool. You have their reported salaries but that info submitted by charities to "should you donate?" and charity rating organizations are generally completely false and usually are only base salaries. Never mind that info is probably prior to this campaign blowing up.

There is no proof that kony is responsible for what's going on now. The films message is clear. We are awesome film makers please send us money. Some of it will go to helping africans but we take most of it cuz we got bills and spit

I have a general distrust of most charities in regards to what % actually goes to its cause. These guys seem no different.

yes i did go to their website, and it does say your wrong. if a company posts its 990's online and that's not good enough for you then your assuming what they are doing is not just wrong but massive fraud. its clear that this is something that goes much deeper than the actual issue at the moment.

i believe them because i have supported them since 2005. my churches college minister was a roadie with them back in 2004. I know plenty of people who know these people directly. I can tell you their hearts and motives are real. if you don't believe me or them that's fine, i don't know what to tell you. this is about idealism vs cynicism and we clearly are on opposite ends of the spectrum and i don't think anything i say here would change that.

Charities consistently doctor and fudge their financials and information all the time. It's easy to understand your defensiveness now. You are apparently shelling out bucks to this sham.

Keep on filling their pockets with cash because, well, your friends think they are good people with good hearts.

This situation immediately brought 2 things to my mind.
