There wasn't even a sign to go vote out front. You had to drive down the hill into the parking lot to see the "vote here" sign. There wasn't a single Paul or Romney sign. But where I vote is a pretty rural area. Even on a good year you're lucky to get 300 people in our precinct to vote.
We had a George Allen sign in front of ours. :dontgetit

Early returns show Ron Paul may win some counties in VA. Prince Edward, with 30% in, Paul is up 71-29%.

I'm sure he will win some counties in VA. He just didn't win the state
What I find interesting is that Sanitorium not only couldn't get organized enough to get on the ballot in VA but couldn't get all his ducks in Ohio either! Also, I wonder if Mitt can pull a 2nd in GA.

Ron Paul wins Lynchburg 51-49.

I'm really shocked with Paul's performance. Way ahead of expectations.

It certainly will be interesting to see how it goes.

I'm just glad we got another page! Got tired of scrolling down!
Also, was listening to Newt during the media TO's. Yeah. I'm over him. I mean the 30 min speech was a bit much. But look at the numbers he won GA and what else? MAYBE a second place finish in OK? Everywhere else is 3rd or 4th. I believe the kids say he is aPoser.

Agree once again. When Newt started speaking I flipped to basketball.

I also think its likely Romney would have won VA even if Santorum and Gingrich were on the ballot.

Santorum needs a box of Kleenex! How can he bas Romney after saying he was THE conservative choice during the last election. He is whiny and lack confidence. But not ego.

Inagural Barack Obama Marathon to be held in October

AP- (Washington DC)- The Obama administration has announced the inaugural Barack Obama marathon to be held the last Sunday in October. Athletes from the US and around the world are invited to compete. Additionally, there will be a $250,000 prize purse to lure the top-level runners.
Obama hopes to play up his image and expects support from the Kenyan community of runners. There is a cap at 20,000 runners.
It was planned that the prize purse would offer $50,000 to the winner and paying down to 20th place with $300 for both male and female athletes. It is anticipated that 100 elite athletes will be invited.

However, noting it would be unfair to award the full $50,000 to on the winners when all the top finishers competed the race, the president asked why the money couldn't just be spread around for all the top 20 finishers. He inisted the top 20 would receive the same amount of $6,250.

House congresswoman Nancy Pelosi insisted that since there are to be 100 invited males and females and 60 would finish out of the money and that they should be considered, too. Therefore it has been requested that of the prize purse be equally divided so that each elite athlete would get $2,500.

Senate leader Harry Reid has pointed out that these top level runners are one (1) percent. He also noted that since these athletes didn't even pay their entries and were offered room and meals that they "weren't paying their fare share" and all 20,000 runners should get some of the prize money. It is now being considered that all 20,000 runners will receive $12.50 on race day.

Complicating matters race director Wayne N. Trooth admitted there would be bandit runners or "illegals" who will not pay the entry fee and will receive free water at aid stations and food after the race. Since they will have run the same distance, why are they not included in the prize money? Trooth estimated that up to ten (10) percent would be illegal bandits so now 22,000 runners would get $11.36 each on the race day.

The race has no sponsors because all corporations are evil.

I actually think his speech is pretty good. Yeah he screwed up endorsing Mitt 4 years ago. idk. We'll see. Neither one is my guy anyway.

Ohio is interesting. Santorum is ahead, but according to CNN Cincinnati and Cleveland aren't in yet (mitt strongholds).

Also looks like Virginia Tech students came out for Ron Paul. He carried Montgomery, Pulaski, and Floyd counties.

I actually like them much better than Fox News when it comes to election night coverage. Other than that, no.

Willard was the only one who said good things about the others. Congratulated them all on their wins and Ron Paul for being steadfast. CLASSY

Wow this speech by Mitt is something else... He's hurling one bomb after another at Obama.

"8.0% unemployment isn't the best America can do... it's just the best this administration can do."

Great lines. These are the sort of things that will help rally the Republican base behind him.

I really don't. The problem with Fox is they tell me what to think. I think what I want. CNN shows me the map and data. Fox doesn't.

Nice job by Mitt. The crowd is so fake, some random guy is yelling out what they should cheer

Ha. I was actually going to say it was the most enthusiastic crowd of the 3. He was certainly the most optimistic.
I will say Fox has a lt of the same breakdown, but I do think CNN is more 'inside baseball' but Fox is more entertaining.
Mitt declared 2nd in TN. That's a blow to Newt

Plus Karl Rove is always rocking the quadruple chin and telling everyone want to think. Irritates me. I don't want to know what I'm supposed to think. Show me the raw data.
