I just pulled up our MBB roster to check on something, and was shocked to see that Jim Platt is now our director of basketball operations. Former head coach at Ark. Littlle Rock as well as CSU, where he won a BSC COY award. He was also infamously reported by the local fishwrap to have been selected as LU's new coach in 98, before it was announced that we were hiring Mel Hankinson. I have to believe this is a short term job for him, but it's a great addition to our staff.

No doubt. It just seems like it was under the radar. I don't think there was anything announced about it on the AD site.

That would bode well for our chances of keeping him around for a while, despite being "overqualified".
