I am ready to see the move to FBS happen soon. The facility improvements, Title IX compliance, financial commitments and solvency, TV network, and national alumni reach are getting the attention of conference decision makers. The polarizing nature of our Christian commitment will help and not hurt our chances for a conference that has vision to grow. Liberty is the sleeping giant among potential FBS schools.

We are not even on the radar of Sun Belt fans in cyberworld. If this happens, it will shake up the message boards. There will be mayhem in the "internets".

So it's my understanding that Benson will takeover as the commish on April 1st. Isnt that around the time our feasibility study results will be released?

I am not saying it is bad, just saying... of all the bowls...

I think the Sunbelt is a good fit for LU as far as size/competition of schools, LU can step in and be serious competitiion on day one.
Location of colleges bites though... spread out from Texas to Fl. will make travel challenging.

But, I say GODADDY !!!

Did you read the same thing I read? Seems more of a comment of the irony of it. I'm thinking you are in need of the gripping.

As for what you flew off the handle about, I haven't really given much thought personally as to whether it's a conflict of morals for us to accept an invite to such a bowl. I'm not sure. It is just the sponsor, afterall. Does that matter? I mean the NCAA wouldn't let a beer sponsor a bowl. They seem to have some arbitrary standard. Do we have one? Would we play in the Planned Parenthood Bowl? I'm sure there's a line drawn somewhere, but GoDaddy probably isn't it.

But seriously, I think he just thought it was funny.

If you really believe we should not play in a bowl game bc GODaddy sponsors it then with that logic most if not all of our corporate sponsors should be dropped bc im pretty sure Pepsi and Taco Bell have violated the Liberty view point a few times.
