It's coming. NOAA storm prediction center put out a map in showing Roanoke and Lynchburg having snow accumulation around and inch per hour later tonight. I'd link to it but I'm on my phone.

This Texan doesn't drive in snow much. I hope Virginia has finally invested in some snow plows at least for main arteries like US 29.

Drove past the car dealerships on 221 last night, and they all had their wipers in the HMO position, which made me smile.

I just mentioned to my wife on the way to church this morning, I hadn't seen any cars parked at the end of their driveways or wiper blades up. I thought maybe that had gone out of style.

Harrisonburg won't get much out of this.

NWS Blacksburg says 4 more inches of snow tonight.

And weather channel maps are laughable at best. Sorry Sly the snow folks know they're a joke lol. They can't even pronounce Wytheville correctly! Surely George Wythe is somewhere rolling in his grave.

Norman, OK clearly doesn't understand weather in SW VA. You're not going to get tornadoes in the mountains during February. Don't know about Richmond or VA Beach, not my sphere of knowledge.

Suspicion in Matthews County (the "Northern Neck") for a tornado, but this system was rather lame. Didn't even see lightning or hear thunder.

Want to see the classic version of a tornado cell? Check out this nasty hook. Note the ball looking shape. That's not rain. That's debris.

Apparently not

The amounts seem to be trending up towards 2-4. I'm still not buying what the models are saying. Still sticking with 1-3.
