If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

I agree with whoever said our political candidate affiliations could hold us back. It's one thing to come out and support a conservative or liberal side, however, I think the way we support Newt is out of hand. That will likely hinder our ability to move up, more than our religious affiliations will.

Yeah I could do without the political support to either side all together (as I've mentioned ad nauseum). But I know that is a fringe idea for this board. Regardless I’m glad more are seeing that being associated with Newt can’t do anything positive for us. Now if we can just get America to see that.
Don’t screw it up Florida.

I don't know about that. Whose to say that we aren't a viable option for any of these conferences? The SunBelt is going to expand, that's not an if anymore IMO. The CUSA is a position where they don't necessarily need to expand but if they see a school that adds value to their conference, they're going to go consider it. The MAC is another conference that likes to be big. They were the first conference to expand beyond 12 teams and whose to say they don't want more? We also have a large history with the MAC as does our current FB coach. I think all of these are legitimate possibilities.

West Virginia cancels game this season with Florida Sate. Speculation is , so they will have room for the 9 game Big 12 Season , this season.

I hope this move shows that the east cost bias is a legit bias.

Memphis to the Big East

Memphis is close to a deal to join the Big East in all sports in 2013, a conference source confirmed Tuesday, ESPN's Joe Schad reported.

The Big East will be adding Central Florida, Houston, SMU, Navy, San Diego State and Boise State in the coming years, and soon will lose West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Syracuse.

The Big East's plan has been to get to 12 football teams and eventually have a conference championship game. Memphis, plus incumbent schools Cincinnati, UConn, Louisville, Rutgers and South Florida, could get the conference to that point by 2015.

LU should get on FSU's schedule............if FSU agreeed to play game in Lynchburg. Granted we;d get beat, but it would be good PR for Flames. But who knows, FSU lost to Virginia, and JMU beat a good VT team last year.

Okay, this isn't a real person, is it? There's no way this account isn't someone creating a character to see which absurd comments can actually get a response.

I hate to say it ballcoach, but the chances of getting any I-A/FBS team to come to Williams Stadium are less than zero

Just imagine how the folks in Greenville, NC feel right now.

This essentially means the service academies have made up their minds. That was the domino we were waiting to fall. It could get very interesting the next few days.
