The gathering place for LU alumni to wax nostalgic about their glory days and tell current students how easy they have it. Old hags & bright-eyed and bushytailed recent grads both welcome.
From website of Heritage Baptist Church in Annapolis, MD:
Sunday, July 30, Heritage Baptist will hold an ordination service for Kris Adams. Kris is a long-time member of Heritage who recently graduated from Liberty University. He has worked as an intern in HBC’s youth program, and is currently serving as interim Minister of Youth. In August, Heritage will vote to call him as the full-time Associate Pastor/Minister of Youth. The full-time addition of Kris Adams offers us a great opportunity for ministry and growth. Pray for Kris and his wife Tiffany as they continue to establish themselves in our church and in the community.

BACKGROUND: Born in Washington, D.C., he grew up in Severna Park, is married to Tiffany Michelle Adams and they live in Annapolis.. FIRST JOB: Worked for the Barranco & Sons Funeral Home in Severna Park. BIGGEST CHALLENGE: Finding ways to make Christianity relevant to the younger generation.
LONG-RANGE GOAL: He personally hopes to continue his studies and eventually get a doctorate in pastoral counseling. He believes in a practical ministry and involving the youth in both church and community affairs.
LIKES MOST ABOUT THE JOB: Getting paid to do what he loves to do which is talking about God.
LIKES LEAST: Filling out forms and doing paper work.
WHY CHOSE CAREER: At the age of eight, he became interested in the ministry when he participated in preaching competitions at his school. By the time he was in high school, he definitely felt that God wanted him to dedicate his life to him. His family encouraged him to attend a Christian College. During summer while in college, he worked at Heritage Church and last summer, after his graduation in June, he was hired by the church as interim youth pastor. By August, he was named permanent youth pastor and associate pastor with added church responsibilities.
FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: He likes Matthew Chapter 25 especially the parable of the sheep and the goats which concludes in verse 35: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me” and ends “the righteous shall enter into eternal life.”
HOBBIES: Reading, being outdoors and fishing.
IF I COULD CHANGE ONE THING IN MY LIFE: His behavior if he doesn’t practice what he preaches and live up to the standards set for him.
