Yeah best of luck to him. Of course I wish he was going to be a Flame, but I can't fault him. Maryland is in the ACC and maybe he wasn't comfortable with the coaching change here. Of course Dallas you can always change your mind by February

Dallas was on his official visit and sat and watched the home game by himself. This is not why he chose Maryland. I just want to use the power of this board and say, We should have a group of students (outside of the football program) that prospects can hang with and watch the game. It might not be a bad idea if this student group was made up of attractive females.

As to R i's suggestion, would it be possible to have some sort of "welcoming committee" of students without the NCAA getting its collective knickers in a bunch?

I want to say it was October 29th , against Presby. But it could have been Coastal or VMI.

I saw him get dropped off at his seat, and then he just chilled. I went over and shook his hand.

As long as they are not going to highschool games. Lane Kiffin style.

was he on an official or just up to watch a game? when nick did his official it was done with a bunch of recruits. it was a pretty big production, and there were several good looking girls that were showing the guys around. from what i was told that is how they conduct their official visits. we were given a date of when they were holding it. best i can remember it was in january, football season was over i do remember that. it was friday evening to sunday afternoon. each recruit had a player from their position with them all the time.

He was with a few other recruits, not sitting near him. He was wearing an LU drawstring bag , and was dropped off by the Recruiting coordinator. So I would assume he was on an official.

Maybe he was unable to make the official visit production that you speak of. Glad to hear we are putting the attractive LU females to work for the football program.

probably unofficial, they give you the little backpack any time you come to a game. but you never know. everybody that was at ours had all ready committed, so maybe it was different than when they are still chasing them. he was a big recruit so i just figured they would have been all over him. never really thought anything about it through out the year, but looking back now it seems our recruiting was a little odd this year. past 2 seasons seems like we had quite a few more on board earlier in the season.

Yeah, I don't think that's a coincidence. At all.

I heard from a source close to the situation that his family hated his Maryland commitment. Feels like he will develop better at Liberty. Not just in football but life! This was Coach Skalaskis recruit as well. I bet he was still in his ear on his way to Jacksonville, that's just the type of guy he is.

that's a solid pickup. I didn't really understand Maryland from a recruit's perspective. It just seems like they are in reverse. Edsall has a big culture to change there, there was no accountability and class attendance wasn't valued nor being accountable. Edsall is going to have to flush out almost all of the old before you can see if he will have any success there. Either way, hugggge get for us.

d22 c49 - Where are you?

This is a HUGE pickup. Coach Skalaski's hauling in a ton of talent for us before heading to Jacksonville.

This must be a very recent development because here is a profile from the Baltimore Sun from this past Saturday:
