So VMI and PC played us to the wire....have hope for the playoffs based on this logic.

I still want to know what victories are above us in 6 six years. I believe we have #1 budget in FCS.
Now where did I put that foe button...

The FCS playoffs continue tonight with Montana hosting Northern Iowa. That would be a fun place to watch a game.

Seeing that crowd in Montana is fantastic. The aesthetics of having a full stadium, even of merely good size, makes FCS look that much more important.

i watched the sam houston game and now watching ga. southern. SHS is pretty nasty IMO, and with ga. southern, stopping the option attack has been tough for maine but they are hanging in there. I would love to see the eagles back in the championship game.

I'm really looking forward to Montana/SHS next week. It would be nice to see the rankings hold true with GaSo going to the Fargo Dome as well.

Sam had a practically empty stadium today in Huntsville. Hopefully they'll have better turnout for the semifinals.

Interesting. They don't have the greatest following anyways. Last year they averaged 6337 per game. This year their regular season average was 7074 per game. Official attendance for their game against Stony Brook was 8161. Today's official attendance was 9077. That probably looks small in a 14k stadium, but it's not bad for a team with no history of winning. This was only the second year in the last 10 for SHS with more than 6 wins (the other was 2004 with an 11-3 record). If they break 10k next week it should be considered a good crowd for them.

It was sad looking, i know they don't have the largest fan base, but football in Texas is well...football in Texas :!:

Sam Houston is really tough. They have really dominated Montana but the Grizz is hanging in there going to the 4th qtr. a big crowd there too. Fyi....guess where Sam Houston is from? Virginia! Haha no wonder Texas is such a nice state. :D

Listed at 6'5" 315. They've got a ton of FBS sized OL including 2 sophomores in the 6'8" 330 range. There's a reason the WAC wanted both Montana schools.

Does anyone even care about the FCS semi-finals, or are we too busying choosing our FBS conference?

For all those who thought we could "go deep into the playoffs," if we were still playing today, I guess Rocco would still be our coach, and Turner Gill would be the farthest thing from most of our minds.

It's amazing how much things change in just a couple of weeks!

Purple & I have a mutual friend reffing the game in N. Dakota today. It's funny to see him running up & down the sidelines.

Georgia Southern's coaching staff has shown no faith in their own offense today and have wasted good field position a couple of times. This really should be a 20-13 game, but they've just kept going for it and not giving themselves a chance to win.

Yep. He's the field judge near the back, always on the bottom of the screen. He's gotten a lot of face time with the commentators stating "that's the a good job by that official".

Of course, I've got a game with him Tuesday night, so I'll have to bring him back down to earth.

Tell him the commentators were really ripping him on TV. Remember he isn't watching it and will have no idea!

The championship game is today at 1:00 on ESPN2 in Frisco, TX. Does anybody on the board besides Sly care about watching North Dakota State battle against Sam Houston State?
