Following up on initial rumors that Southern Miss coach Larry Fedora would take the job at North Carolina, two sources have confirmed to our own John Taylor that Fedora has been offered and has accepted the job at UNC. An official announcement is expected for later today.

Memphis will announce TCU co-offensive coordinator Justin Fuente as its new coach Thursday, a source close to the situation said.

Fuente, 35, started at TCU in 2007 as the running backs coach and was promoted to his current position and quarterbacks coach in 2009.

It was a $10 million contract to start. 3 years/$6 million remaining.

EDIT: Just read that boosters are being approached about the money as the contract stipulates the remaining amount has to be paid off within 120 days.

Illinois hires Tim Beckman away from Toledo. Interesting move. Ron Zook was recruiting well but not translating that into sustained success on the field. The MAC is becoming a great stepping stone league for coaches.
