If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

I heard the Big 12 will beat the Big East and change its name to The Big Whatever Is Left and go to 7 v 7 Also coaches will have 1 million dollar incentive clauses in their contracts for any defensive player drafted......in any round. ADs say off the record they don't see any school having to honor that payout.

What about now?

That's particularly interesting considering the fact that many believe CSU may be the last chance for the Big East western division if neither Air Force or San Diego State accept the overtures. It is tough to lead a program through these crazy times with no one at the helm.

Good news for Vandy fans. Franklin had been rumored as a hot and upcoming coach at other openings.

Hahahahaha Texas
SLY may have better insight but I think he is fine for now. By getting rid of a lot of his staff last season probably placated those who might want him gone. If he can return them to the top 20 next year, which I think he can, his job is fine

Maybe the current/now former AD is the one holding them (us, as a CSU fan) back?

I'd love to see CSU caught up in the moves to stay at or near the top level of athletics. When CSU moved to the MWC, we dominated in football and under Dale we did fairly well in basketball.

However, things have grown stagnant, and we lost the greatest head coach we will ever have in football. Change may be the best method to ignite a comeback for the athletic department.

I like the current MBB coach, but if the new AD needs a new FB coach, I won't mind.

Archie Manning just announced to his fellow alumni that Ole Miss has hired a new football coach:

I have heard from several sources that Mack will survive this offseason. But he is running out of markers to call in after a second straight season that doesn't meet the standards expected in Austin. But it should be noted that one of a just a couple of donors/board members have ENORMOUS sway. If they believe Mack is past his prime then anything is possible. Darrell Royal was similarly pushed out and he had won at least part of 3 championships.

Pat Hill is suprising. But with the success of the Boise States TCU etc, he isn't getting those diamonds in a rough like he used too. I wonder if he has ever been to Lynchburg ? Fresno has a large Armenian population and they are orthodox...... :o

Supposedly Shane Beamer turned down the Richmond job but several other VT assistants are in the running.

Frankly a year ago if Larry Fedora had left Southern Miss (as he may now to A&M if he wins out over Kevin Sumlin) then I would be worried about Coach Rocco in Hattiesburg. But with Southern Miss missing out on the Big East prize, I wonder if a C-USA opening would be enough to entice Coach Rocco away considering if he waits it out he might be in a similar situation right where he is. To me, it will take an opportunity in a BCS conference to pull him away.
