An easy way to eliminate regular season games would be to get rid of cross divisional play in conferences with a champion ship game. Teams would have 5 conference games instead of 8 and that would also eliminate the possibility of an SEC, ACC, B1G, or Pac-12 title game rematch.

There are a lot of arguments against a playoff that I can't understand...and this is one of them. FCS, D-II, and D-III all have figured out a way to fit 3-4 playoff games into the schedule, and they still finish weeks before FBS currently does.

Some of the other annoying arguments against a playoff...

-"A playoff makes the regular season less important" and "the regular season is already a playoff" - Tell that to teams that finish undefeated and still get left out.

-Any argument that uses some form of 'they'll miss too much class time'.....Football misses the least class time of any NCAA sport due to their games almost always being on the weekend. And a lot of the possible playoff games would be around winter break anyway.

FCS, DII and DIII all have 11 game schedules (well except the Ivy League which only has 10 but they dont do the postseason anyway) but I do agree that they somehow have full seasons and manage to make it work.

If anything I would think the SEC teams individually would have an easy time to the championship game cuz they could slip up against one of there conference mates (during the regular season) and then play their way into an NC game by getting a lowly OU or Boise State in a playoff game.

It looks like UH has taken care of business once again. Barring a shocker in the CUSA Championship game, they should be in one of the BCS bowl games. It appears the overall picture is beginning to come into focus.
