the csi shows have pretty much run their course. my wife still watches these and the reasons why people are murdering people is so completely asinine that at the end of the show you are like, ok that is totally retarded. they try to make the show so mysterious that they have to come up with some of the most ridiculous plots that require a complete disconnect from reality to be believable. we are such a gullible and stupid people.

The Walking Dead has been fantastic so far this season. I really thought the concept would get old, but so far so good

I'm enjoying Terra Nova even though it seems like it's taking an eternity to get to the plot. I gave New Girl a try and was bored. . .I have been pleasantly surprised by The Office's staying power without Michael Scott.

Other than the usual Survivor and Amazing Race, there isn't a whole lot worth getting in to this year.

I need to start watching the Walking Dead. Other than that I watch the Office, Parks & Rec, Modern Family, It's Always Sunny, and Boardwalk Empire. Boardwalk is pretty raw, but it is absolutely amazing.

A month later, I'm really enjoying The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family. Breaking Bad finished very strong. Pan Am and Up All Night both ended up sucking. Prohibition was boring so I only watched the first episode. I'm still looking forward to Hell On Wheels.

The rest of my list is still on my watch list, but they're not wowing me. I'll add How To Make It In America, Hung and Bored To Death to the list of shows I'm watching. They're decent and I've seen every episode of each of their respective seasons to date, but I wouldn't go as far as recommending any of them.

I'm also watching Beavis and Butthead as a piece of stupid nostalgia.

Do it. If you can catch up on season 1, it's definitely worth doing. Very good show. I'm a big fan of pretty much everything AMC has put out over the past few years. Their streak is almost unmatched in my opinion. Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Rubicon, The Walking Dead, The Killing. I'm still upset they cancelled Rubicon.

The Killing had some of the best actors on any show but MAN did it wind up being stupid. One episode all of the evidence points to this guy 100%, cliffhanger, next episode cliffhanger leads to miraculous news that the guy is cleared! Now all of the evidence points to this next guy!,cliffhanger, next episode oh my goodness, it wasn't him after all! repeat repeat repeat. And then, what was supposed to be a 1 season show, solving one murder, is turned into an additional season at the last second by once again miraculously clearing the suspect that they've already painted themselves into a corner with. I'm curious as to who actually did it, but I'm not watching next season. They think their audience is stupid.

I pretty much agree with you. The storyline started off strong, but got off track a out halfway through the season. The last episode of season one really ticked me off. I will probably still tune in next season since I invested a lot of time trying to find out what the heck happened.

Wife and I have been loving "Hell on Wheels" the past few weeks, anyone interested in a gritty "There Will Be Blood" type of drama this is it. Great acting and great storylines so far.

yeah i got long conned with Lost. i'm now more apprehensive before following a week to week show.

the only show out there i really enjoy is Lie to Me but even then its only because of tim roth, the story lines are sometimes ridiculous.

Really loved Alphas this summer as well as Suits. Fairly Legal was passable as well.

This fall New Girl is the standout for me but I'm also enjoying Person of Interest, Prime Suspect and Once Upon a Time (has a chance to be great). Unforgettable is a very neat concept but the execution has been spotty. Supposedly there is going to be an animated version of Napoleon Dynamite hitting somewhere around mid season.

Returning favorites are Big Bang Theory and Family Guy still has the occasional funny episode. Chopped, on Food Network, is the only show that I simply won't miss.

AMC is television at this point. Rubicon was my favorite of the bunch, but the final episode was awful.

My wife and I DVR'd Up All Night on NBC with Will Arnett and Christina Applegate. Hilarious show about having a baby for the first time. I suggest everyone checks it out.

It has it's moments, Bob. But it has trouble being good from week to week. Mrs. Sly is a HUGE fan of Revenge. It is basically Dallas or Dynasty set in the Hamptons.
