Definitely a huge pickup (no pun intended) if we can land him. having two or three wideouts at 6-2 or taller could make for some real nightmares for defensive backs coaches

He could come in and play right away...lets get his LoI in February to be sure before doing too much speculating though

That would be sweet. But let's not burden the kid with those type of expectations quite yet.

For those wondering, he is from the same area as our TE prospect Sean Culkin. The Tampa media outlets are high on both kids as receiving prospects.

Even if he is Chris Summers 2.0, it will be a while before he makes an impact. Remember Chris' first couple years:

Freshman - redshirted
R-Freshman - 2 receptions 14 yards

Let's get him in the weight room for a couple years and then we can see what we have.

Easy now FBB, a lot of these kids are probably in playoffs right now so if they havent committed by now they probably have their focus shifted to that.

Cambridge Christian has announced two NCAA Division I signings that will take place at the Central Tampa school next week.

Wednesday afternoon in the school’s gym, Olivia Yeager will become the first volleyball player from CCS to sign with a D-I program when she inks a letter of intent with the Naval Academy. Wide receiver Damarcus Faison will become only the second Lancers football player to head to a D-I football team when he signs with Liberty University, an FCS (formerly I-AA) program.

In 2008, Lancers star running back Taylor Cabral was the first CCS football player to sign with a Division I program when he inked with Campbell University.

Last season, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound Faison hauled in 36 catches for 529 yards and four touchdowns.

The 5-11 Yeager averaged 5.3 kill shots, 1.4 blocks and nearly one ace per game last season. Her entry into the Naval Academy was sponsored by local state representative Gus Bilirakis, Lancers assistant athletic director Chad Goebert said.
