Chris -- I saw in your Monday notebook that you aren't making the trip to Williamsburg next week. But did the fishwrap spring for Wednesday's game in College Station?

Definitely not. Non-conference hoops travel has never been very extensive at our paper, and that goes for Tech and UVa as well.

I will be making most of the Big South trips, with the exception being the CSU-Presby swing. My first roadie will be at Campbell.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketb ... determined
Texas A&M associate head coach Glynn Cyprien says he would be "just as happy" if Billy Kennedy returned to the program in time to coach Wednesday's opener against Liberty, but that Kennedy's status hasn't been determined.

Texas A&M coach Billy Kennedy was diagnosed with early stage Parkinson's disease.
Kennedy, who disclosed last month that he has Parkinson's disease and would leave the Aggies (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP) as he underwent treatment, attended the team's two practices on Saturday, Cyprien said.

"He's doing better," Cyprien said Monday. "He's coming around every day, in fact he came by the office last night and we met. So he's doing much, much better."

I have NO idea what a "slingbox" is (probably should ask Medic), but I wonder if I had one if I could pick up the game on DishNetwork.

I would think Jesse would be more of your 2 with the way he was scoring in Europe. Let Chene bring the ball up. He is more than capable.

I'm just surprised Chene is starting period, regardless of position. I'm not sure if it's more of a positive in Chene's play or negatives about JC and Speaks.

While I'm also surprised at Chene starting, apparently he has improved considerably over the offseason.

Agreed...I think its less that JC has gotten worse or Tavares isnt as good as advertised as it could be Chene working his tail off and showing definite improvement as an off guard since last year
