Well of course...I was intending to to reinforce flamehunter's point. London is doing well but he isnt doing it with entirely his own players. If he was doing this after being at UVa for 4 or 5 years and all the Groh recruits were out of the system then maybe you could talk about him being a great coach but all we have to go on is that he won a national championship with another coach's players (Clawson) at Richmond and now he is working with another coach's players in Charlottesville.

And jinxy, indiana is nowhere near the bottom 5 teams in FBS. Here's whose's worse... UNLV, San Jose State, Washington State, Wyoming, Western Kentucky, UL-Lafayette, Akron, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Minnesota, Kansas, Utah State, Ball State, Duke, Colorado State, Rice, UAB, Memphis, New Mexico, UTEP, New Mexico State...

Hopefully you get the picture. Probably somewhere between 80 and 90.
CSU is not worse than Indiana.

erect a monument to the great Mike London after another embarassing loss at home yesterday.

Jbock, clue yourself in Russelo and Bruce Feldman both said Indiana is a bottom 5 program in FBS football. I believe the same, and nothing you said makes me think anything differently. I saw Al Groh lead a UVA team dismantle them 44 to 7 with 4 plays.

i have followed UVA my entire life and been a season ticket holder for over 16 years and London is still an unproven coach, but i like what he is building, He has recruited the 757 better than Groh, the players are better students, and more active in the community and the level of play has improved. The players love him...he is a players coach.However...they need a QB, and i just feel like neither Rocco or Watford is the answer. London did announce Rocco will be the guy the rst of the year and watford will come in on special plays not for drives like he has in the past this year. The changes London made in recruiting made VT shuffle their staff to combat UVA's 757 success. the bottom line is if Rocco cant get it done the rest of the year, i think he could transfer.

Rocco came to play tonight.....IF UVA holds on for the W, it will be his best performance by far!!!! I am not a fan of the Hoos, but the girl is and I will comply since LU or UNC isnt playing.

Kudos to coach London for realizing the QB platoon scheme wasn't working and changing it (shouldn't have done it in the first place).

They lost to UNLV. UNLV lost to Southern Utah by about 35 points.

My main irritation with UVA fans (I know you aren't one TTL) is that they demand perfection, immediately. It's not going to happen. It's going to take some time but see what Mike London did at Richmond. I know you beat Idaho in overtime. It's a win is it not? I think LU, the #23 team in the nation just experienced that. But they found a way to win.

And like typical UVA fans, you guys having a winning record for the first time in a long time. But yet it's not good enough. You have to win the BCS championship, this year. Please. You guys almost border on as bad as hokie fans at times.

we were debating earlier in the thread about london being a good coach...to me this whole thing makes him look terrible. It's common knowledge in football that you can't play two QB's unless it's for a wildcat play here or there like we use Brennan for a power run. You can't rotate series for multiple reasons including that each guy thinks he must be perfect and you can never build any timing with the receiving corp. Fast forward to Thursday, London abandons the qb rotation (finally) and Rocco comes out with his best performance to date on the road at the U (Uva is 1-16 in the state of Florida all time before this game). In my opinion if London wouldve stuck with Rocco from the get go they could have won atleast 1 if not 2 of the 3 games they lost.

Either way it was a good win, but they've done this before. We'll see where it goes. Solid game by Mike...props to him.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Minutes after a 28-21 victory against Miami, the Virginia football team was boarding a commercial jet that had been chartered for the occasion.

Far from being a raucous party, though, this was just like any commuter’s flight — uncomfortable and inconvenient.

In one row, Michael Rocco, David Watford and Ross Metheny sat shoulder to shoulder. Instead of celebrating the victory, the quarterbacks were trying to get some sleep. The plane didn’t land until 3 a.m., and the trio had classes to attend in the morning.

The dynamic was also an interesting one for Watford and Rocco, who have spent the season competing to be the Cavaliers’ starter.

Congrats to Mike and the Cavs. They will be playing the Hokies in a game that means something more than state bragging rights. They have also cracked the top 25 for the first time since 2007. Gotta give Coach London credit for turning things in the right direction.
Should be a great game saturday with 2 young up and coming Lynchburg QB's.

Nobody called you an idiot for supporting him. You were somewhat maligned for saying he is a great coach just a few games into the season. Greatness is earned over a long period of time - I'm talking years. He has begun to prove he is a good coach. The great label will come at some point down the road if he earns it. I realize at your ripe young age a couple seasons seems near a lifetime but trust me that is but a drop in the bucket.
Sincerely,
:oldhag

Look at what he's done at Richmond. Better yet I know it's only one season, but he took an absolutely crap team at UVA to playing against Tech for the chance to possibly win the conference.

I don't honestly know any other coach who could have done that. And I say this as neither a Tech nor UVA fan.

you said he was a great coach...Great is a word that should not be thrown around so easily. I still think it was a dumb thing for you to say and will not apologize ever for making fun of you. haha
